The exceptionally clear image appears to show a male figure with white pyjamas in the family kitchen.
Jennifer said: "Now, I feel like he was letting me know he is happy in heaven."

Surely the opposite is true. If he's in her kitchen, then he's most definitely not in heaven and is obviously doomed to walk the earth forever.

If it came down to it, could you disarm a spectral entity with a bread bin lid?

I know it's 7 months late (or 400 years as the case may be), but what I like most about this story is how the guy was gone for 3 years, has just crossed the Atlantic, saw his deserted village and said "Foul weather's a-coming, we'd best be heading back to our olde Englande-o!", or whatever it was that people said back then, and sailed away.

Roanoke! They use that location in RDR2.

Have we done this one anywhere on the forum yet?

Donald Trump's son Baron is a time traveler, kind of making Donald Trump actual Biff Tannen.

    https://twitter.com/Casa_parra/status/1085692100966928385

This article deconstructs it a bit.

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/baron-trumps-marvelous-underground-journey/

    Complete bollocks obviously, but entertaining.

I found a Gef gif but it's hard to tell if he's really talking or not.

Spent lunchtime reading about the Dyatlov Pass mystery, sparked by this lengthy BBC article. An incredible number of theories were spawned, but not surprising given the circumstances.

@Trowel Aye that's a peculiar story, there's also a radio documentary which is quite good and I have a feeling there's a documentary on Netflix too (could be Prime) but I didn't think it was very good.

Thanks both. Did some reading on the video game (Kholat) too - seems the only thing of value was Sean Bean narrating, and it being one of the first games powered by Unreal 4!

"According to studies led by Trond Torsvik at the University of Oslo, the blobs also seem be linked to about two dozen surface regions called large igneous provinces ó places where, at multiple times in Earthís past, millions of cubic kilometers of lava oozed onto the surface as if through open wounds. Many of these events are themselves linked to mass extinctions like the Great Dying, the largest life-snuffing episode of the last half-billion years."

Interesting read about how scientists map the inside of the earth and what they have found so far.

Good article, thanks. I studied deep mantle plumes in uni around 25 years ago (!) and it was largely theoretical modelling at that point. Good to see how far on analysis has moved.

At the start he already seems to be pointing the camera at the specific part of the sky that the object will later appear in, which raises my suspicion gland. Although it could be that it was visible to the naked eye well before it appears on the camera.
