Have a look at Pocket Tactics. It concentrates largely on strategy / adventure / board game stuff, rather than action games, but is always worth a look if you're into that kind of thing. -

Reviews make it seem like decent game ruined by IAP -
@dancingrob Cheers, I'll have a look. Those are the only games a touchscreen is suited to anyway imo. -

Registered 15 years agoMight give that a go. Have long been interested but I always felt like it was a retread of Ecochrome and that never really clicked for me. -

Vainglory is live in the EU. It's the Moba featured at Apple's WWDC conf a month or two back.
It's free to play and actually quite good. Seems they've adopted the LoL formula of a rotating cast of heroes. There's a single lane and a jungle just underneath and matches are 3v3. I'm actually quite impressed with the balancing, it doesn't feel too small or too unmanageable. Games last around 15-20 minutes.

Registered 15 years agoCrossly Road is fabulous. Looks great, lots to unlock, unintrusive ads and a modern frogger!
Also, special mention to Pair Solitaire. Deceptively deep and up there with threes as an iOS puzzler. -

Registered 15 years agoI didn't really like puzzle to the centre of the earth. I found it a bit weak on the puzzle front. Interesting idea though. Maybe I should give it some more time.
I guess Crossy Road appeals to me because I am a big frogger fan and love to chase scores. I like unlocking characters, I don't think any of them give you an advantage though. -

Registered 18 years agoAnyone know if Shadowrun Returns runs okay on iOS8? Not been updated since May '14 I see and it doesn't say anything about iOS8 one way or the other. -

Registered 18 years agoNever got round to playing the first one. Held off buying the iOS version because I didn't like the sound of the save system but patch notes suggest you can save anywhere now. Would like to play them both eventually but seems to make sense playing them in order. -

Registered 11 years agoUm, what's going on here?
I swear that those two Friday Night at Freddie's games were something like £1.49 or £1.99 yesterday, but they are now showing up as an unusual price of £2.29 ... were they on a prolonged sale (before) or something?

Magzter is a magazine reading app/service. They're now doing an 'all you can read' subscription service for 9.99 a month, or 4.99 for any 5 mags. Apparently over 2000 different magazines available, in lots of different languages. My wife had a yoga mag sub via magzter and it seemed to work ok. Also available for android afaik. 7 day free trial available. Might be good/cost effective for those who buy a lots of magazines. -
