Cheers, I used to keep up to speed with wiibrew.org, but I'm well out of the loop. I'll have a pop at it this weekend, just to get me away from L4D2 for a few minutes.

A guide to backup through BootMii would also be helpful. I tried reading through wiibrew.org, but it just makes me feel thick! :(

Just played another stage, and I had to pop in and say that this game has the best soundtrack ever. In fact, attention to detail is second to none in general, despite the few issues I had.

    Very funny indeed

So, finished this the other day, and are going for the unlockables, but!

You need to buy and upgrade all weapons twice, plus stockpile money after that! This is hard, and I aren't getting that much money out of stages any more, am I missing something?

I've been thinking about picking this up for a while, a bit of tongue-in-cheek zombie culling sounds good, especially after the travesty that was DR: chop 'till you drop.

It's only around the £10 mark online so no excuse really not getting it. Even if you only play the game once in story and once in Director mode, there's the 7-8 hours of pure entertainment for you!

Excellent fun with hand cannons. The frame skipping and stuttering is very annoying, but if you stick it on a hard drive it's not an issue. Some of the loading is pretty slow too.

Right, just ordered it from Amazon for £12, nice one!

Now I'm just waiting for Dead Space to hit the right price too...

So, anyone know if/how I can get my hands on the Overkill graphic novel?

Sure, I could give it a try. So I gather it was not released in print then?

Not sure, though I haven't looked for it, obviously ;) Though the back of the collectors edition says "totally exclusive graphic novel" so I guess not.

    PM sent, good luck.

I didn't buy this because I thought it'd be more of the same as HotD 2 & 3, but this really is quite good stuff. The shooting feels weighty and satisfying, the levels are quite nice, and I love the whole movie feel of the game.

I quite like the money earning aspect too, gives some incentive to replay levels a bit. I do have to admit the humour, as purile and immature as it is, is some of the funniest stuff I've heard.

    Also, motherfucker.

You won't love it for long...

The increase in upgrade costs vs your ability to earn money suddenly breaks and leaves you a bit frustrated. It's my only real gripe about the game tbh. Other than that I think it's bloody great!

I'd liked to have been able to grind for money a bit, not a big fan of the finite amount of money earnable which can totally screw you up. But my sister has a save file with an Assault Rifle all tooled up, my Dad has maxed Magnum and SMG, and I'm going to save up for the Auto-Fucking-Shotty, so between us we'll have everything, just on seperate files.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot again, must add swearing.

It's not quite a finite amount of earnable money, but it's a bit bollocks - you have to get on the high score table to earn some cash, I think.
The money earning in RE:DC works better, but involves shooting *everything* which then conflicts with Overkill's hit combo mechanic.
Basically, earning money should have been easier in the long term. It would have increased the replayability for me.
