Okay I tried delirium tremens, blanche de Bruxelles, bruges zot blonde, and a chimay rouge. My favourite was the delirium. I'll definitely go back and try some more Belgium Beers.

Had a can of Glory by Northern Monk - 10.5% triple IPA that nails it and doesn't taste like slightly sweet petrol / Special Brew.

Try the Elvis juice if you haven't had that already.

I'm rather partial to that, but maybe depends on your liking for hops/ipa though.

I'm not gonna actually make it this year. The weather is gonna be awesome, the beer even better, but we've just had a little bundle of hungry joy arrive, and sat around in a tent all of a sudden feels a little inappropriate! 😋

So make sure you enjoy it for me too!

Ale! Currently sat in Arcadia in Leeds trying some Wilde Child beers. Loads of good breweries doing their thing round here now and it's ace.

    Wow.

As someone who lives in the grey area of being able to say you live in both South London/Surrey (but really South London), offys are literally all over the place and at least you actually have variety beer on offer.

I am lucky that a new Sainsburys opened a 3-minute walk away (without being near enough that we are affected by the ‘huddle and bussle’) a couple of years ago and it has a very, very impressive craft ale section. However, being a Northerner down South, who is partial to an IPA, finding a short notice beer when the fridge/pantry was empty used to be a real problem for me with the four off-licenses on my road basically selling Carlsberg/Stella/Kestrel/Kingfisher/Special Brew.

It fits the area stereotype in that the owners are all of Asian decent, but the one in particular I did frequent on occasion, once had some actual IPA from Indian after returning from a family holiday and it was incredible. My Wife thought I’d taken up smoking or buying physical blueys the amount I was in there over a short spell.

Anyway, point being, it was worthy of being IPA from IPA.

He ran out pretty quick though, so that was that.

    Edit: early morning typing. Ugh.
