He hit the ball with his stick. It went quite far. The other man hit a ball with his stick. It went further.
Golf baffles me. -

Registered 19 years agoLooking good for Stensson and Casey, about 8ft from the pin, US haven't found the green after 2.
Looking really good now, Leonard chipped way past the flag. Long par putt for the US, should leave Europe with 2 putts for the win. -

You could boil any sport down to such stupid simplicity.
Man kicks ball. Ball hits net. Man kicks ball. Ball doesnt hit net.
May as well just say you dont like sport, in which case dont both posting in a thread about golf.
Come on Europe, especially Poults! -

But I do like sport. I've just never got into golf. That's why I'm watching the Ryder Cup. You know, live, on telly. I think that gives me the right to comment in this thread. -

Registered 14 years agoWhy would I bother watching it just to slag it off on a message board? Harrington hit the ball. Mickleson hit it about 30 feet further. Am I right? It wasn't an acid flash back. I saw it with my own two eyes.
I may not know much about what I'm looking at but I don't think I did anything to provoke such a response. -

Am I the only one who think the EU flag is rubbish? So unimaginitve - I'd love to meet the moron who approved it. -

Think I'll be doing exactly the same mate - my girlfriend is out tonight, so I've got the TV all to myself

Registered 15 years agoFair enough, but then why open with a patronising comment! You could have just said Golf baffles me but im going to watch it and give it a chance.
Anyway hope you enjoy it. If you ever give it a go its technically the hardest sport going IMO. -

Rose/Poulter off to a good start - Rose puts it in the fairway, Campbell in the rough off the tee. -

I'm a wanker. I sneer at things I don't understand. I know it's wrong but it makes me feel better

Alex Bogdanovic, GB no.2 and generally shite, in the Davis Cup relegation play-off against Austria which is currently being played. Handy Andy is playing later.
BBC Text Commentary: "Europe's ball finishes in the shrubbery"....why cannot I not hear the word shrubbery without finding it funny? -

Popped my head in the front room to be met with "USA!, USA!". So very irritating.
