Registered 16 years agoNot seeing the speed improvements everyone is mentioning but then Firefox is pretty quick for me at rendering pages so I never knew it was an issue.
I like the layout though, nice and simple, so I'll give it some use. Only real problem I've noticed so far is that it scrolls way too quickly when i try to scroll with my touchpad, which doesn't happen in other applications. -

The what? - how?
You can create a shortcut icon on the desktop or Start menu which will open up that site with no other browser buttons at all, as if it was a native Windows app. -

The google (ha, it wants to capitalise google, how very narcissistic) online apps are obviously going to be fine, but nothing else seems to be an improvement. I'm also missing the ability to use customised searches and email.
Start typing the name of the search engine then hit tab.

This doesn't seem to work for me, even for google or the youtube example on the page you linked. -

You need to have searched directly from the site first so that it picks it up I think. Sorry, just edited that in.

Registered 14 years agoYou can have Firefox open up multiple pages as well - in the homepage box you just separate the first one with a | and put another website. "www.eurogamer.net | www.google.com | www.facebook.com". Unless you're talking about something else... -

I'm dirtbox I'm bitingly succinct. -
I was struggling to get bookmarks working, you can drag into the bar like other browsers but you have to highlight the URL and then drag it.
Annoying that you can't import bookmarks from Opera though. -
Or Opera.
;p
But I like the engine and the little features it's introducing. -

Registered 20 years agoRather like this, so far. Not useful at present on my main machine, since it's a Mac, but on my PC it's definitely preferable to IE7 or FF3 in the performance stakes so far. I really like the minimalist UI, too. -

I fucking hate tabs, what happened to the good old days when you had a new window for each website? So much simpler. -

Hmm it didn't on mine and when I click import bookmarks it only lists FF and IE.
