Cheers nickthegun. Guess I'll use IE to access the corporate email for now. It would have been nice to use Chrome to create an application shortcut though. :)

It's really fast and the search bar and address bar in one is excellent. The others should do that now.
You can already do it in Firefox at least. If you type something into the address bar it'll search for it on Google in exactly the same way. I don't know if there's a way to turn off the dedicated search box though (and I wouldn't want to personally, since you can have more than one engine in the drop-down).

Chrome does run OWA fine but just as the basic version like it does for Firefox. Runs it blooming much faster the FF too. But nick is right in that it has less functionality. If it has the red line through the https I think that is because it doesn't quite trust the domain/certificate or something so doesn't believe it is fully secure.

Yeah, that'll be what it is. There should be a yellow warning sign at the right-hand end of the address bar, too. If you click it it'll tell you exactly what the problem is.

Thanks for the replies. We're using Exchange 2003, is that the same as everyone else's? I can get the menu in the left of the window, but I can't see my messages, and if I create a new message, I get the To:, From: etc, but no actual space to type in a message! Very odd.

I think we need to upgrade from 2003.

What certificate are you using? We use exchange 2003 without any problems. Try the folder view.

Does anyone else love the way the fonts look on Safari?? They're all smooth and nice. Why can't the other browsers do that?

Looks very clean. I'd love the ability to be able to customise the fonts/look of chrome. Reckon that might be possible on the mac version?

Doesn't windows have somekind of universal font smoothing option buried where no one ever finds it? ClearType? Am sure I used to use it years ago on XP

    Aye, that's the badger:

To use ClearType for screen fonts
    Open Display in Control Panel.
On the Appearance tab, click Effects.
In the Effects dialog box, select the Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts check box.
    Click ClearType in the list.
    Notes

To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
ClearType is ideal for portable computer and other flat screen monitors. ClearType may appear slightly blurry on desktop computer monitors.
Whether you select Standard or ClearType from the list, you must have a video card and monitor that support a color setting of at least 256 colors. Best results are achieved with High color (24-bit) or Highest color (32-bit) support. Click the Settings tab to set Color quality.

I'm liking this because I can use it in the office (Firefox doesn't work), and it loads all facebook applications (chat etc blocked on IE in the office), it's also very quick.

Saying that, it's a little bit basic at the moment, could do with an adblock, I'd also like to be able to open all bookmarks/searches/address bar entries in a new tab, a la TabMixPlus on Firefox.

You can right-click a bookmarks folder and open everything in it from the context menu.

Sorry, you misunderstand me, what I want is then when I click on a bookmark or type something in the address bar, it opens in a new tab, not the one currently being used. Just saves me an extra click to open a new tab first.

Ah, see what you mean. Middle mouse button click does exactly that for me.

Just enabled cleartype. Bloody hell it looks like someone's attacked my screen with a vat of vasoline now. Trying to read code is making my eyes hurt.

On the other hand it makes desktop icons look rather nice..

Does it? Damn lappy with no middle button!

@Huntjna: not bad, but still extra click, not much mouse movement though so I'll settle for it.

Ah, I have to click both buttons at the same time to do it. Although the new tab then doesn't gain the focus for some reason, it opens behind the current tab.

Everytime I import my bookmarks, it imports bookmarks from my Mobile phone's favorites, not my IE ones.

Anyone know what folder the bookmarks are stored in?

Does windows sync it's own bookmarks with your phone when you sync your phone?

    (c:\Documents & Settings\Username\Favourites) (i think)

Those are my IE favorites, where are Chrome's ones stored?
