seeing as we're all going to die next wednesday due to this cern thingy, im just wondering how people are actually reacting to the possibility that we might not exist in a few days time? personally i'm so disillusioned with modern life that i couldnt give a monkeys. i'm well aware that i would feel differently if i had a family etc but as it stands i couldn't care less if my atoms were ripped apart by the experiment. so whats keeping YOU from embracing our possibly extinction? |
is there a reason you don't want to not-exist?

Registered 13 years agoI'm going to send an email around work telling them the world is about to end next week. Most of them probably have no idea about all this, be fun to see how they react.
Mrs Chopsen is actually in Belgium on 10/9/8 :-0 -

The Large Hadron Collider that's been built under the Alps. It gets switched on next Wednesday and one of the experiments could potentially create a black hole.
John Humphreys spoke to one of the scientists involved on Radio 4 this morning, who clearly had his tongue in a cheekward direction.
"Well there's two possible problems - one would be that we create a black hole that gets larger and eventually destroys the planet. The second is that it converts matter into 'Strangelets' which would start a chain reaction and convert all the Earth's matter into a gooey mass."
But, echoing Kaylee (from Firefly)'s reasoning, when trying to defuse a Reaver boobytrap, he said:
"Well if it does destroy the planet, it's not like there'll be anyone around on Thursday to complain." -

I would be curious to know exactly what your preparation involves. I assume it involves a tinfoil hat somewhere along the way? -

im actually looking forward to finding out what lies beyond this life, not in a morbid "i want to die/commit suicide" kind of way, im just very very curious. if its nothing then i wont have the capacity to be curious so its win win!

Or trying to find out where Brian Blessed is and getting him to say "Gordon's alive!" -
