Anybody describing a group of their mates as a crew and isn't a pirate, anybody describing a group of their friends as their squad and isn't in the army, anybody not a cowboy and describing a group of their mates as a posse needs shooting.

What if I refer to them as a murder as in murder of crows?

I don't get it. What am I missing? How else do I know for certain they weren't speaking in the other direction.

Alas, our loitering days are mostly over :(, being distributed across the UK and further afield. A bunch of them though I played Destiny with, so I could still call them my squad. Or does that mean I should actually refer to them as my fireteam?

It's like people never heard of synonyms.

"Class", "Class Act" or "Absolute Class" when referring to a footballer doing anything that might show he's potentially a human with emotion.

Used to be reserved for the type of inbreds that use words like "acca", "tekkers" and "worldie", but even the BBC Sport Twitter has started doing it now, usually followed by a hand clap emoji.

Also, news outlets that use emoji.

I went to college with a lad who said "d'ya know what I mean" at the end of nearly everything he said. The first part "d'ja know" was said in a kind of sheep voice, bleating, the second, "what I mean" rose to a fairly high-noted finish. It drove me mad and I wished him death. I look back on it fondly now though and it has given me lots of enjoyment over the years. D'ja know what I mean?

Anyone that uses 'lol' or 'omg etc in a verbal conversation, probably deserves to get their head kicked in!
