    What does that even mean?
I use it as a passive aggressive way to prompt someone to get to the fucking point.

It’s actually quite satisfying to reply to a lengthy, meandering email with

    ‘so what’s the ask?

    Xoxo

    Nick’.

I actually read some article in the Guardian claiming that the prevalence of the phrase in the past few years was evidence that most people have less agency in their lives these days.

I think actually people are just twats.

EDIT - RE 'It is what it is'.

A lot of people use the term passive aggressive when they really mean is aggressive.

As if using the passive makes them some sort of human behavioral expert or something.

Some people might interpret what do you want/what do you mean/what's your point as aggressive, especially in isolation, but I think it is hardly an indirect question, or an attempt at concealment.

The hugs and kisses make it, tbh.

I instantly hate people who say this.
Me too but, you know, it is what it is.
    We are where we are.
I'm 3 episodes into The Mandalorian and think their mantra "This is the way" is metal as hell. Might start saying that in office meetings, see how it goes.

I've used that a lot recently.

There are some things that I watch and just feel instantly repelled by, so "bouncing" actually feels like an apt description.

Other things I try watch and it takes me a while to lose interest, or are pushed away slowly, in those cases I didn't bounce off.

I have no doubt this has come up multiple times in this thread, but I’ve experienced two separate people today using the word “Addicting”!?

“Oh my god their so addicting....”

When in the living Christ did this word become a thing?, what was wrong with addictive?

I’m so angry and I don’t know why!

I've only ever heard that one from Americans and it's always boiled my piss... Think I'd just have to stab somebody to death and do the time if I ever actually heard it in person.

Also the comma after terminal punctuation. You don’t get to go all grammar nazi if you’re still struggling with crayon yourself.

I only ever see "addicting" in adverts for shitty pay-to-win mobile games and the like. I'd assumed it was one of those Chinese/English hybrid fuckups.

Shit made-up insults like 'cockwomble' and 'assclown'.

What's wrong with 'cunt', you cunts?

If you remove the word 'bumble' we've got a deal. I'm just a good old-fashioned cunt. Not a 'cocknob', 'bagtwat' or 'lemonfuck'.

I've been so tempted to add "you fucking mong" onto the end of so many emails lately.

Can't beat a bit of monging.
