An angry-sounding woman the train this evening, presumably on the phone-

"I bet she kisses like a twirl".

    Anybody any ideas?

Overheard in a lift at work the other day:

"The launch was ok, but the follow-through went everywhere.

    Oh god.

No, not that kind of follow-through."

    @andy10

Possible. My mind went to the chocolate bar rather than a twirling motion.

ďIím not saying dressage doesnít require skill. Iím just saying itís not a sport and shouldnít be in the Olympics. Itís like a dog show. Dog shows are not a sport.Ē

I wouldn't mind Dressage as an Olympic sport, as long as the horses were awarded the medals.

From a few months ago, some woman on her phone on a train (argh):

"The cancer has got progressively worse. Nah, she's not told him about it yet. She'll tell him after the wedding. So, yeah, you'll have to look after the bride tomorrow."

When I was at Uni in Belgium and we had some Irish exchange students over from Trinity College Dublin:

"She looks like the type of lass who'd like it up the arse", and my favourite so far "I really need a good shag, anyone will do"

    God I love Irish women.

    Two nuggets:

"I'm struggling to find sushi in Watford"
"Why don't we have double decker trains?"

In fairness, many European countries have double decker trains, and they're AWESOME.

I'm going to let my hubbie throw it up my ass later. I think I might have misheard my wifey though.

Why couldn't he just close the door. My son can manage it and he is 4.

My office has builders in at the moment and one of my colleagues saw a lot more of one of them than she wanted to.

I don't get that one. Seems like a reasonable question. DDtrains are quite common.

@Salaman The cost's prohibitive in the UK. A huge number of bridges, tunnels and stations would need to be rebuilt to accommodate the extra height.

Edit: Though as you say, it isn't a stupid question per se. It's been looked at seriously on a number of occasions and double-decker trains are common in some countries.

Could it have been a couple of doctors talking? It sort of makes sense - ketamine is a dissociative and once youíre completely dissociated then giving more doesnít do much more. If someone starts kicking off after they have some ketamine, the best thing is actually to give them more (because they arenít dissociated enough).
