Last night of the proms - how to obtain tickets?

Seeing last night of the proms on the tv just now, I made the usual pledge of "I will go there some time".

how impossible/expensive would this be? is it worth it to join in one of the parks (e.g. hyde park)?

anyone been there?

You use those dangly things you use to scratch your arse to type Proms into Google, go to pretty much the first fucking thing that comes up, then buy tickets.
