In terms of co-op too it can be useful sometimes summoning a black phantom or allowing friends to invade you if you are encountering problems on a particular section because in-game enemies won't attack them and as they are killed by your bp(black phantom) it gives you the souls too(doesn't work on bosses though).I'm just thinking with 4-2 in mind that you mentioned before and I expect soon will say about a certain run past a dragon in 1-4 up a flight of stairs which can be frustrating unless you time your run accordingly;a bp shouldn't be targeted and can kill him for you😉.

Registered 6 years agoHad a quick half hour just to do a bit of farming so I could level up. Thank you 4-1 skellies and ring of avarice!
Quick question re poison cloud. Is it any good. Seems a bit crap tbh. Wasnt great against skellies anyway. Seems like you have to be close up, but it seems so slow to cast. Thats a bad combo in ds! I suppose its all about timing. -

To be fair that doesn't sound cheap to me. Sounds like a perfectly legitimate strategy

Registered 8 years agoPs. There is even a cheaper quicker way if you don't feel comfortable with that if your magic isn't very strong. This only works from ng+ onwards but summon a friend in 1-1 ,and after you have made your way up to old king doran, try and get your bluey (blue phantom)to get in between you and old king doran as you fight-your bluey will not take damage and even though he can't directly cause dmg ,if you corner old king doran into one of the narrow passages at the back of the altar, he will stay locked there;continually trying to walk past your friend who will appear as an invisible barrier to him as you melee without threat of dmg to yourself.

So maneater is down. Thanks for the assistance dan! And by assistance I mean taking all the damage while I threw soul rays at him from a distance like a wuss!
So I went back to the nexus. All seemed normal. Leveled up. Hold on, whats that I see in the corner of my eye? A dead body on the stairs with a soul I can collect. Sure that wasn't there before.

Is this his way of thanking me for setting him free or am I next?! *
