The first 10 star trek films are on blu ray in a box set for £69 on Amazon this week. Go get. If you don't have the decent ones already. |

Registered 11 years agoThat's a great price, I'd snap that up if I didn't already have them! -
I have the ones I want. The only ones I don't have on Blu-ray are the TNG ones and I can live with them being on DVD to be honest. Only Generations and First Contact are worth it. -

Registered 16 years agoI've always disliked Worf, I know I'm in a minority. imo Michael Dorn is a terrible actor and Worf was a terrible character. Tasha Yar (minus constant complaining about rape gangs) was a bit more interesting Also, Pulaski > Crusher. IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO IMO.
However! I will say Worf was a much more interesting character in DS9,

Registered 16 years agoThat's why I liked her! She was throughly unlikable, rigid, xenophobic, a complete arsehat. So unStar Trek. Crusher was a bit of a wet blanket by comparison, I was sad to see her return in the following season. -

Mate, I've got 4 copies of that film, one I bnought myself and 3 I got over xmas. All kept in a box in the attic.
@Razz
But you liked Dorn in ME2 though, right?
Anyway I've just realised that my Star Trek collection consists of TOS, films 1 3 and 6, and the Abrams pseudo-reboot. But I keep the Abrams disc hidden, and I think I should rename my rip to something less embarassing, like Avatar or The Phantom Menace.
Have you bought any of the HD remastered TNG BluRays? -

Registered 16 years ago2D, that's exactly what it was. You know, if this show was set aboard a klingon vessal I might enjoy it, but with Gowron, Mortok or Kurn as lead.
I always wondered what happened to Kurn after he became part of the House of Martok -

Registered 9 years agoUgh, a show with Worf as the lead character. Will he still be the sanctimonious cunt he was by the end of DS9? -

They'd be better off starting from scratch. All he does is bristle, fire the E-D's phasers and occasionally throw extras around.
Fleshing out the Klingon Empire would be worth it though. Best shot at depth they had was ST VI.
Fleshing out the Empire is perfect! PLEASE MAKE IT SO! -

Registered 11 years agoDorn is trying to get a kickstarter going for some crap film he wants to make! Someone on reddit mentioned that Worf is actually the most fleshed out charecter in tng/ds9 and doesn't need any more screen time. I kina like Dorn though, hard not to! -

Registered 16 years agoFor all you Star Trek fans, there's a podcast that started recently called Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek podcast, where the two hosts devote each show to one episode starting at the beginning with The Cage and they plan to go on through all the series.
I've listened to the first one or two and it's quite good. Ken Ray is one of my favourite podcasters anyway, he does MacOS Ken.
Certainly worth a listen if you're a fan of ST. -

I'm loving it, wish it started at 6pm though and 2 episodes can really eat up my night, reminds me of the Skyone days when it was prime time.

Fuck that. Star Trek is too big for a kickstarter project.
The TV series I mean, not random games and reconstructions
