I absolutely loved the penultimate episode of lower decks where it was basically an homage the the films.

The series did start off a little crap but it's easily my favourite of the new shows.
They even got the film grain and colour tone spot on! I hope kids watching Lower Decks love it and see it as a gateway into the ST universe.

I started to lose interest in Lower Decks when it started referencing the TV series so much. At times it felt like classic Trek, which was great. But I liked it more when it dwelled on the teams competitiveness and the character failings. I would have enjoyed it more if it hadnít involved the bridge crew so much.

It gets better from episode 5 onwards! The last episode made me rewatch the TNG episode with the Pakleds, "Samaritan Snare" and the TOS episode, "The Return of the Archons". Both to a newcomer to Trek might be seen as complete shite, but I loved the excuse to go back and watch them. Reading the wiki on "The Return of the Archons", Ben Stiller named his production company after the red hour!!

Worf is coming back in some shape or form. Probably in Picard. https://twitter.com/akaWorf/status/1384232487656640522

Hopefully TNG Worf, rather than sanctimonious DS9 Worf.

No. Just stop. It ended in 1994 and it ended well. First Contact is a fun add on but that's it.

After Seven became Han Solo how do we think Worf will have changed?

Presumably he's had extra tragedy in the intervening years and has been left scarred. A "very different" Worf. Whatever it will be it will be terrible. I just can't bring myself to watch anymore Kurtzman trek.

Im guessing we find drunk in a bar somewhere. Probably missing an eye or an arm or something.
Whatever it will be will be fucking awful, thats for sure and I bet they'll just base him off the one random tng movie they watched.

No doubt they will screw up his character even more, drunk, even worse father, swears all the time, probably some dark story where he was bummed to near death by some jem hadar soldiers

Worf is a son of the House of Martok. He shall be respected as such!

Just watched Inner Light, TNG. Awesome stuff. I've said it before but it really puts the newer stuff into an even worse light (no pun intended).

They might go the other way, and he's now a powerful advocate of the teachings of Vic Fontaine, singing his way around the bridge pointing and winking at the crew. Pally.

This made me chuckle having watched that ep recently.

I'm watching ds9 for the first time and I actually prefer worf now. He's got alot more character in ds9 I reckon. Also after seeming to be pushed over by every invading threat on the enterprise it's been great seeing him lose his rag on occasion or battle the Jem Hadar.

Didnt Worf basically win every fight he had?
Apart from against Data, of course..
Oh, and Troi in that one episode.
