What do your parents want a 60gb PS3 for? To make a killing on ebay? -

Registered 12 years agoWhy don't they just buy an 80gb? You technically have the better hardware.
Hell, it would make more sense for you to ebay yours and both of you buy 80gb models if you don't want the better tech. -

Cause i would be getting a brand new ps3 with 3yr warranty. Warranty has expired on 60G and if it breaks down would have to pay 200 quid to get it sorted. Dont play ps2 games dont need 4 USB

I would swap it, since I've had 5 60GB so far and wouldn't mind three years guarantee on a new one. -

Who told you £200 to get it fixed? Personally I couldn't live without 4 USB slots but everyone is different. -
not since cain struggled with the notion of smashing able's forehead in has a dilemma of such magnitude been thrust upon man. choose well, this is a character building moment and it will define you for years to come. -

Registered 12 years agoPersonally, I'd keep the 60gb, but then I'd appreciate the ability to play PS2 games on it. If you're in the UK, technically you have up to 5 years guarantee on electrical equipment by law (it might even be more), but not many people know/kick off about it.
It seems a little pointless otherwise, the extra 20gb space isn't gonna make much use is it? You could probably sell the 60gb and buy an 80gb PS3 AND a 360 though -

/hint.....keep the 60gb, only rocking horse shit and rats arses in bollock factories are rarer! -

Why would anybody pay that sort of money for a 60gb? -
mugs? -
Really, they're selling for that much? O_o
But anyway, bugger the 80gb. Keep the 60gb. But that's just me -

True that is alittle OTT, theyre expensive for something second hand but not silly expensive.
Got mine for £290 on ebayabout 2 months ago. Annoyingly it broke last sunday but ive already got a replacement 'remanufactured' one from Sony... -

Registered 16 years ago£600-700?!? What?!
LOL!!
Just had a look on ebay - I reckon you're lucky if you get £350 for a 60GB with a couple of games...I suppose not a bad price if BC is important to you.
I thought it was, but have rarely used it TBH... -
I have a similar dilemma about selling my NTSC 60gb PS3 and getting a UK 80gb one.
The main reason is that I want to play UK dvds on it too.
Most blurays are multi region and the price for them has dropped in the UK. With the exchange rate being crap it’s not really much cheaper getting US blu’s.
Having only 2 USB’s isn’t much of a hardship either as it’s only used for charging pads or a memory stick.
Do you fella’s reckon I’d get a good price for a NTSC PS3 on ebay?
