Is it select albums, or the full catalogue on Spotify then? Don't have my phone on me at the mo and I'm in work.

Can't believe I've been listening to Spotify for years and only just discovered (lol) the Discover Weekly playlist that it puts together for you.

Really seems to pick stuff that i like.

Discover weekly is like a ritual for me, one of the first things I set up at work Monday morning.

Anyone on the 14.99 family subscription? In awesome news you now get 6 users on your account instead of 2. Great move by Spotify.

Here is an odd quirk, when I took out my Vodafone sub last year I got 6 months Spotify. When it came to the end of the 6 months (last year) I got an email and text from Vodafone stating that I would now go to the standard 9.99 I lf I wish to remain. I declined as figured I didn't really need premium.

However I am still on premium to this day. When I go onto my Spotify account it lists Vodafone as the sponsor/payer but Vodafone are not charging me. I have checked all the bills, CC, phone etc.

    Any idea what's going on?

So I have decided to join the 21st century and try out this spotify malarky a copuple of weeks ago

0.99 for 3 months premium seems good, and I spent a couple of hours setting up 1000 songs or so in a playlist. However when I go to play them I get the same fucking 40 odd songs playing 95% of the time and the other 95% not playing at all.

Hell just this morning the same song has cropped up 3 fucking times, while I have had entire albums that haven't come up the entire time I have been using this.

Is this a common issue? Google seems to suggest it is, but then any problem you google always is blown out of proportion. And any suggestions on how to fix?

Never had that happen to me, you got it on random I take it?

    How odd.

I think the theory is that random doesn't feel random, so they try and play different genres and artists, so if you have one hip hop song in a list full of black metal, it's going to play the shit out of it.

But, yeah, I think beyond that, it's still pretty broken. I've taken to just removing the songs it becomes obsessed with.

We had a work playlist that had about 2000 songs on it and it still managed to play 'wish I didn't miss you' by Angie Stone twice a day. It used to drive me insane.

That would explain why Adele (one album I AM NOT ASHAMED!!!!) plays more often than Iron Maiden (7 albums)

It does also seem unusually obsessed with Weird Als Don't Download This Song while ignoring the rest of the same album.

So with MS Killing groove at the end of the year I'm giving this a go but for some reason it won't import some of the cds I've ripped to my laptop for some reason?

Spotify doesn't do that very well, especially if you're going to use mobile.

I'd give Google play music a go if you have a lot of your own stuff. You can upload all your music, store it and access it for free. Subscribe if you want to to get access to anything else or buy from the store.

So been using it now and then but it doesn't seem to have a clear way to transfer my ripped music from my laptop to the phone app?

@Baihu1983 assuming it still works the way it used to (maybe it doesn't), you make a new playlist with your ripped music on the laptop, then on your phone you set that playlist to download, then if they are the same network they should transfer across.

Just encountered a 'Library is too full' message.

    uh

fuck that shite. What utter, utter bullshit. Also the library has numerous albums in it I CANNOT FUCKING REMOVE AND DIDN'T EVEN PUT IN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

    What a great service.

Been using spotify for a couple of months now. My dad and brother want to get it too, and spotify have a sub where 5 users can log in at the same time. It says you all have to live in the same house or address, but is that bullcrap and can you just share login and password like netflix?
And do you get 1 playlist for everyone or is it all separate?

Just pretend you all live at the same address, they never check.

Awesome, is the library shared though? My dad likes Tom Jones which would be a major issue.
