I am not sure the Neogaf moderators dish it out though. its just the users probably. So its only fair.
I remember after Dyack was banned, a mod from neogaf wrote a long post about what a jerkoff he was, basically making them look like a bunch of hypocrites.
Like, "how dare you slander us, but we'll do the same to you right back!"
Not to mention that it was probably some snot-nosed nobody telling off a famous developer. The whole thing turned me off to that site - not that I was ever very fond of it to begin with. They're good for news, but not much else. -

NeoGAF : Dyack banned.
It started ages ago but got out of hand after Dyack said Too Human would be awesome and then got upset when people criticised the game which then spiralled out of control resulting in the stories above. I wasn't involved and both sides can take some blame but hey ho, such is the internet. If you post in a forum as an industry professional you can't be surprised if you get good and bad responses. If you don't want that then stay out of the limelight, i would. If i did stand away from my anonymity i'd only do so knowing that it probably would get ugly at some point whether the responses were honest or trolling. -

The Gaf/Dyack debacle was utterly rubbish and immature on both sides.
I'm proud of the developer posters here, they manage to join in and get on with things with the regulards. Nekotcha, a fine fellow if ever there was one, after Haze was released, tagged no heat and the gentle ribbing he did get over it was well parried. Good on him. -

Coincidentally, Cliff B of Epic is sweetness and light and can take a joke, which you might not expect. And the Bungie guys who post at GAF are all very cordial and friendly and can take a joke. -
