    Does it? Whoops!
  • Deleted user 23 June 2014 11:45:25
Yeah, think it has histamines in it. I certainly find that it doesn't help, when in a pub garden, for example.

So, one of the great pleasures of summer, also ruined. Cunting pollen.

But on the basis that local honey can help prevent hayfever, surely necking gallons of local ale will make you indestructible
  • Deleted user 23 June 2014 11:52:41
I often find wasps in my lager, which are worse than histamines.

OK, this one's aimed more at people with fulltime allergies, not just hayfever.

Was just looking for a throat spray and checked out the cheapest sire for it and they had a link to offers and then a category for "Crazy Prices"; who, at the end of the day, can resist the chance of a bargain?

Anyway, turns out they've got loads of multiple-month long supplies of various non-brand antihistamines going for, unsurprisingly, "Crazy Prices":

    http://www.pharmacyfirst.co.uk//offers/cat_616.html

12 Month Supply of Cetirizine Hayfever Tablets - 8.99

    12 Month Supply of Loratadine 10mg Tablets (12 x 30) - 8.99

    Piriton Chlorphenamine Allergy Tablets 4mg 500 Tablets - Free Delivery - 9.99

    4 x Chlorphenamine 28 4mg Tablets - 2.99

    4 x 30 10mg Loratadine Hayfever Tablets - 3.99

I think I used Chemist Direct, similarly stupidly cheap prices for supplies of the good stuff.

Been doing the desensitisation for a while.
Had 2 shots today then a nasty reaction.
Head went bright red, felt it was boiling, whole body covered in hives, then I started having trouble breathing...
I've had loads of drugs and injections and am finally home, symptoms much better but I feel utterly fucked.

    Not a pleasant experience.

Does that help in any way? I take antihistamine from about Feb until June normally. They're 120mg or 180mg tablets.
    I don't think 10mg would do much.

Sneezefest 2015 has started. It flaired up a bit 2 weeks ago but as it was the end of january, I refused to start taking anti histamine pills.
I took one this morning though, not much sense in soldiering on with bouts of sneezing and runny eyes if you can just take a pill and be sorted. Even if it feels silly early in the year, being start of Feb and all.

I can't even tell if I'm a bit coldy or if the hayfever is acting up again. Doesn't help that this is my first spring back in Glasgow after ten years in London.
Fucking plant sperm everywhere though, it's disgusting. Can't they just jizz into a kleenex like normal people?

All hail Fexofenadine, keeping me normal so far this year. Until my holiday surrounded by evil grass in a couple of weeks.
