    @Grax

Have you tried one of the nasal sprays? I've used Beconase, and find it more effective than tablets (quicker also).

People are eating yummy looking cherries all around me. I can't have any as just 1 or 2 will bring on Grax' cum-allergy alike symptoms. Itchy gums, itchy roof of mouth.

    I want some cherries. :-(

do it, they have these wonderful tablets you can take after that make you feel all light headed (your body feels like it weighs a ton though)

As a kid I'd suffer a shit loads with Hay Fever. Discovered local honey in my late teens though, and since then every summer I've always eaten some a couple of times a day.

Fuck knows if it's worked as intended or if I just developed a resistance to the plant spunk floating in the air, but I don't suffer at all anymore.

Yesterday was the worst day by far for me, I'm still sneezing regularly even now and my nose feels like it's on fire.

Bleurgh. Last 3 days have been dreadful for me. I stopped taking medication for it a few years ago because it wasn't as bad as it used to be, but seriously considering some now.

Felt truly awful last night and today. Thought it was hay fever yesterday when my nose was a continual stream of water but I am leaning towards thinking it is a viral infection now. Hay fever has never made me feel this ill and my eyes are fine.

Jesus Christ it's bad this week. Monday and Tuesday felt like I had flu. Now just back to basic level extreme sneezing and eye rubbing.

I'm going to go sit in the cinema all day and hope it passes.

Did you lot have to wear big glasses in the summer for P.E?

I bet you had sand kicked in your face too.

And your mums cut the crusts off your sandwiches...

Thankfully I don't suffer, but my son does. A dose of Benadryl morning and evening usually sorts it out but sometimes it's just not enough.

I only used to get a little itchiness and snot when the pollen count was high and a couple of my mates would suffer really badly. This year though, I seem to have become a full weakling. I woke up this morning, opened my window and started to feel rough. After cycling to work I was completely wiped out. Sneezing, coughing, scratchy throat, far more knackered than I should be. I had no idea it could be this debilitating.

Daily spray and prescription tablets (Fexofenadine) for me from April to September-ish. If I leave it until I have symptoms then it's too late, but if I get on top of it (like last year) then it's usually alright. Regular spraying helped loads!

I've had a cetrizine tablet and it seems to have made me 'okay'. I feel weird though, a bit fizzy in the head? Is this what actual hay fever is like? I feel like my body has betrayed me.

@thelzdking could be the tablet and / or the hayfever making you feel like that. Loratadine is the other popular one you can pick up for cheap and that doesn't usually make me feel out of it. It's worth popping a tablet a day for a while to keep on top of it (not a doctor!).

Bastard cunt hayfever can go fuck itself. I was allergy-free for 3 decades and then one day my immune system snapped and decided that pollen & dust are scary.

Now, on any given day, I can use my nostrils to breathe through for a grand total of about 5 minutes. I have a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates, which combined with hayfever means that my nose is now here mostly for decorative purposes.

The tearing up, the tingling, the itchiness and the sneezing all suck, but the chronic sinusitis is by far the worst part of it.

Pollen count very high last few days and although I'm not too sneezy / itchy it's making me feel groggy as shit. Anyone else get this? Like waking up with a hangover or waking up after just 3 hours sleep. Grogmeister General

Last few days have been pretty bad - Thurs/Fri in particular (though in fairness, I didn't go outside much yesterday).
