Pollen well high today so I'm feeling like shit. The normal symptoms (sneezing, itchy eyes etc.) aren't that bad but I feel really tired and weak. Shitty bastard pollen. |

Registered 18 years agoWhoever called it in the coronavirus thread may have been correct: I seem to have had symptoms of hay fever for three days or so. It's nothing too bad, just teary eyes and a runny nose. If true, that's a first for me (I'm 46)
That said, I've had comparable symptoms in the past from looking at computer screens for too long. Which, given the crisis, I've been doing extensively and my screens at home are very good but also hard on the eyes.
Could be very strained eyes and consequently irritated tear canals instead? The latter connect to the nose if memory serves.
It's actually bad AIDS and I have 4 days left, don't I? -

Think it was me who called it. I've been getting it bad last couple of weeks. Different times of year = difference proliferation of pollens.
My sister who had never previously suffered started to get it in her early 40s.
'Rona hogging all the column inches though. -

Registered 9 years agoThis is horrible, sneezing fits, itchy eyes, feel drained of energy, tired and weak.
Same every year but you somehow forget just how bad it is
Probably not ideal to live 70m from a huge forest will those bastard trees . -

Registered 15 years agoIf I take an ‘all day’ type tablet (Zirtek) in the evening, do I need to wait 24 hours before I have another, or can I take one the next morning? -

Registered 9 years agoI get it but never as bad as this year. Heavy breathing now and then, itchy eyes, no energy and aches.
Normally just get the runny nose -

It'll be fine. I double drop the fuckers anyway. Wash it down with rum. Find Zirtek are good, nice clean high and pretty effective.

Registered 17 years agoZirtek (cetirizine) I was told by my GP you're OK with multiple. Up to 6 per day if I remember correctly (probably not all at once though) -

Registered 16 years agoIt’s the itchy eyes that have been doing my nut in. I use a prescription-only nasal spray. It’s a medicine called Azelastine, the brand Is called Avamys, I think. Anyone struggling with the over-the-counter stuff, speak to your doc about getting a prescription-only med. -

Completely agree with this. I’m usually dying at this time of year but we were out for a long walk and picnic yesterday in the countryside and I was fine. Some itchy eyes and a few sneezes in the evening but compared to a few years ago (pre nasal sprays) I’m practically healed

Registered 15 years agoThe back of my throat has started its annual itching. Don't suffer with any other symptoms, but the throat thing is unbearable. I usually have it till around September.

Registered 15 years agoDue to other medication I can't take antihistamines. So I usually live on ice-cream, lollies and cold drinks to keep it cool.
Being in air-con helps a lot too, but don't have that luxury atm. -
I haven't really suffered for a few years, but its proper smacked me in the face today too.
