Stumbling around destructoid looking for screenies I found this which is what set me off on my NMH is no gods damned post-ironic statement.

I do not believe for one second that SUda made intentionally low rez textures and had jaggies and pop ins just to show us how dull "gamers" find real life. I'm sure it was down to budget limitations. If Suda had had the financial muscle (ie if NMH wasn't destined to be a niche title) he would have made the game look like the intro.

    That's it. No More Ranting.

New game looks brilliant. I love Suda. Now I will try and find that PS2 game that I can't remember the name of on an online auction.

I think the only games Suda was involved with for PS2 were Michigan, Samurai Champloo and Flower, Sun and Rain (which is coming out on DS at some point).

Yes, Michigan. That's the one. It looks rather cool. Thanks.

The graphics need to be improved to encourage people to buy it basically. I'll buy it anyway, as will probably everyone on this thread, but if Joe Blow sees the same graphical catastrophe as NMH1 its going to remain forever niche.

You are confusing 'horrible graphics' with 'not my taste'.

Well, I picked up No More Heroes yesterday at GAME for £9.99. What the fuck I was thinking passing this over? Brilliant humour and looks and plays great. I'd give this the 3rd person action crown on the Wii just for the style alone.

I don't feel cheated by the black ash deaths (the idea of spraying blood actually seems kind of strange given the look of the game) or the ghost town overworld. The level of detail with the amusing descriptions for all the clothing and other items in Travis' flat really completes the package. The fact that the follow-up looks the same is a big plus in my book, though I'm a bit concerned about the blood looking out of place, but we'll see!

As much as I don't like getting old Gamecube games and having to plug in controllers, I'm quite curious about Killer 7 now...

I grew up in a small coastal town where not many people went in the summer. I loved the white heat empty streets of the original. Buuuurt, I will love NMH 2 either way.

I also liked the stripped down look of the first game and didn't find earning money between fights that tedious (then again, I wasn't much of a clothes horse so I didn't blow my wad on unnecessary crap between fights).

The bigger "fuck you" to people expecting a GTA-style game the better as far as I'm concerned, but I guess he is trying to sell the game and not just take an artistic stance...

NMH3 will appear on the next Nintendo console (and maybe the rest?). The story will move from Travis Touchdown to another character.

    Videogaming is becoming interesting again.
Personally I still don't believe there will be another NMH game. I also think the next Nintendo home console won't be here any time soon (as in 5 years).

But the Wii price drop came as a surprise for me so I'm prepared to be wrong on this as well.

You're going to disagree with Patcher again?
