You know the thing that stuck out in Megapocalypes profile? Having a beard. That could be the issue. A beard is a thing you grow when you are not bothered about relationships. I would not mention it though it's probably tricky to hide it in the profile pic.
You are probably thinking it makes you look like Kurt Russell in The Thing but the first person I think of when knowing someone has a beard is Noel Edmonds with Jeremy Beadle coming in a close second. -

If we take my unsubstantiated opinion as fact we can see that having a beard cuts you off from a lot of opportunities. -
