There were definitely some hotties who simply got too many messages to bother with a troglodyte like me, but I did chat to some nice ladies who were also pretty good-looking (in their pics, anyway).
Of course, what really matters is meeting and talking to them, but why put off what could be a great find because of your own, skewed, reasoning about appearances? Who knows - you might not only meet a great person, but a super fit one too. -

Out of three infrequent sex buddies, two got boyfriends and I brushed the third off because I was smitten with another less and didn't feel up for a casual romp at the time.
Thus started the current dry spell and after a few months, a more focussed effort on finding a proper girlfriend.
Nothing doing for months. Now three girls messaged me in the span of a week. I've been messaging and mailing with one since lat week and we have a date lined up this weekend.
Yesterday I head into town with a book, planning to enjoy a quiet coffee and some reading. I bump into my neigbour from a few houses down and we have a few drinks and a lovely chat for two hours or so. I'm sort of keen to do it again.
Tonight I go to an expat drink whete I literally know no one, the friend that told me about it pulled out last minute. I bump into a girl from a squash course I did a few months back. Had a great time chatting and early on when I said we should play squash sometime, she whipped out her phone for my number straight away. Had a real fun time talking. Keen to see her again.
All in the span of a week, after almost six months of no girls in sight. It really is like busses isn't it? -

Registered 17 years agoAs an odd follow up to last night. The lass (and about half of the people at the drink it turned out) work in the same industrial estate where my company is. Mostly boring grey buildings. So when I said "let me guess you're in a drab, grey building" she said "no it's blue actually".
Arrive at work this morning. The building behind ours, which i look out at from my desk is blue. We're probably work neighbours. (or there's a few blue buildings about)
