I'm really very tempted by Animal Crossing... But until I've read some more about it, I still highly distrust the Freeloader. Knowing my luck it probably won't work with the games I'd consider importing.

Wasn't AC going to be released in Australia some time soon? (fingers crossed)

I think that the localisation problems mean we'll never get a Euro release of AC.

My girly has been lusting over this game for literally months.
I may have to cave in, get Freeloader and order this just for her...

i don't know how the british girls work but something like that just doesn't fly with american girls. and that is why i love them dearly. i never buy girls anything, it's a good way to make them question if you really like them so they start being really nice and tell their girlfriends how much they like you. take control jesus..don't buy.

Hmm, I'm really tied up, deciding whether to get Metroid Prime or Animal Crossing (both US, both £30).

Cool action game versus cute little Sims-type game that lets me arrange furniture and design clothes. I'm really stuck deciding! Anyone who's got both and could advise? I may get both eventually, but just one for now...

metroid will be released here soon(ish), and reports of it working well with freeloader have been a bit mixed. animal crossing is meant to work fine and isn't scheduled for a pal release. that pretty much says it all imho

Well, I mean, I have a US Cube anyway... so Freeloader isn't an issue.

There'll be one on it's way as soon as the freeloader is confirmed to work properly. Hopefully next week should clarify the situation.

The GAME UK web site lists animal crosing as Q2 Pal release. Might well be rubbish though.

Can't for the life of me understand what the localisation problems might be: why can't they at least release the thing in the UK? we do afterall speak the same language as our American friends.

Well, they have it down for a Q2 release at £39.99. Add the £4.99 delivery fee and you have around the same price as getting it from the site I mentioned b4 including the freeloader!

I believe you sir, but £4.99 is what it says on the site if you click 'pre-order'.
And I'll have Animal Crossing by next Thursday at the latest. Game have it down as Q2, and Nintendo haven't even confirmed that! ;)
