Oh.. you get the memory card alright, I just wasn't sure about the free gifts. But you DO get them with the DVDBO version, was just me being dense.

Just had a look and I don't know. It doesn't really say anything about its status. The system seems similar to GamesPlanet so I'm assuming I'll get an e-mail once its sent off.

S'ok! Just while I've been moaning about my hassle with DVDBO I think I've covered all the points you lot are raising, eg.

    1. You'll get an email from DVDBO confirming when they shipped AC
    2. It might take as little as 7 days to arrive
    3. The Canadian version of AC DOES come with a memory card preloaded with gifts.
    4. The Canadian version seems identical to the US one, apart from the box and manual being in English and French.
    5. If you cancel a DVDBO order they might just bill and ship it anyway!

Well I hope not. I asked for it to be cancelled pretty soon after I ordered it having heard of yours and otto's experience with them. No reply back, but I'll send them a post a day just to make sure. :)

Importmadness moaned at me, saying they could not accept GPB off a UK debit card, then in the FAQ said they can "only" accept GBP on a UK debit card.. didnt even give me the choice to pay in $ or €

oh well, no Animal Crossing e-cards for me :(

Well, my order's been taken off the 'Pending orders' list on my account pages on their site, so I'm hoping it's gone. If I haven't gotten an e-mail confirmation by late tonight, I'll send 'em another note and request one of those arrival receipts Outlook is so fond of.

Sadly, the seller of the EBay AC I won is stuck in the snow storm that's covering most of the eastern seaboard just now... Says he might not be able to post it 'til friday. :(

You can have more than one PC resident in a village.

Or you could get a spare memory card and visit each other's villages.

    Should have mine today (Thursday).
    Looking forward to the weekend!

For those that haven't heard back from dvdboxoffice, try sending an email to cancel@dvdboxoffice.com - I got a cancellation confirmation the next day.

    Hope that helps!

I've sent three mail asking them (DVDBO) to cancel me now. They have taken AC off my 'pending orders', tho, but I want a confirmation mail.

Anyhoo, I've sent a mail to ottling asking to be in on the USB-copy-transfer thingy. I suppose I should add that if it doesn't work with AC, er, I'm out. :)

    Arrrrg... can't wait.

How bizarre. I sent an email saying just 'Thanks' for sending me a confirmation mail and they had time to write one back saying 'You're welcome'.

You'd think they'd make better use of their time and sort you out with a reply!

    Hi DC,

    hmmm.. Interesting proposition..

is there a way to keep our games AND trade? maybe get the code off Nook.. then resetti (cheating I'm sure, but logical.. oh yes:) ?

If so.. very much infavour of trading with you

    They're executing animals now?

Sheesh, some people will do anything to shed that 'games just for kids' image...

Almost everything you have bought or received can be re-ordered from Nook - just ask him to see the catalog (the catalog also shows which items can NOT be re-ordered). For example, the NES games can be re-ordered for 3000 bells each. So if we trade, you'll be 6000 bells worse off for it - but then again, so will I... (of course you can try resetting if you want, I don't dare :)

Anyhoo, if you're up to it, we might be better off continuing this via e-mail so as not to annoy the fine folks on this forum :) ...you can email me at: ykakone at yahoo dot com.

And if you wanna get me the codes for Excitabike and Pinball already, my name is Dr.Congo (note the period), and the town is Shermer.

OOO Otto BTW! If you get confirmation that the X-port thingy works OK, I might be interested in it as well! So, if you've got a list of interested folks or whatever, feel free to add me to it (my email's in the above message).

    I wouldn't reset if I were you.

I did that while I was examining the Travel Data problem for the CESM's and I lost everything (25,000 bells, shovel, fishing rod, several rare fossils, some peaches and an axe).

Even little Samuel's eyes were different - just cold black eyes, like a sharks. His fine now though and I recently made some killings on the fossil black market.

But it ain't worth the heartache. Thank god I wasn't carrying and NES games with me.
