Indeed it is - one of my favourites! I remember reading some very good things about Kingdom, too - I'm also still a complete sucker for the pixel-art aesthetic!

I'm curious as to whether we'll see any big-ish discounts on any more of the Autumn AAA titles. We've already seen heavy discounting on Wolfenstein 2 and Evil Within 2 (both of which haven't sold well), but there are a couple of others I would consider if there was a reasonable price-cut (e.g. AssCreed Origins).

@Rogueywon Origins went down to 34.99 on Uplay recently. Might do again being Christmas and all.

It already is 34.99 again. The Christmas sale has been live since yesterday I think. I'm a little annoyed at it though as on origin (EA's online store not AC) the Watch Dogs 2 season pass is 9.99. On uplay it's 17.49. Unfortunately I cant buy it on Origin and use it on Uplay because Origin wont let you buy DLC if it thinks you dont have the main game.

So far I've bought Conception II (60% discount to 7.99 euro) and Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (33% discount, 18.75 euro).

Might end up getting a few more titles when/if I get around to browsing what actually on the sale rather than just checking out the titles I had wishlisted before the sale to keep track of them.

Got to say, the servers have been surprisingly responsive this time, was expecting steam to be more or less unreachable for the bigger part of the evening :)

Picked up Dead Cells, Pathologic HD (1.49!), Vanquish and Final Fantasy IX so far. Looking forward to replaying the last two at some point *hollow laugh*.

I'll likely get Total Warhammer 2 and Nier after Christmas as I still need to buy some presents and they're both expensive.

I don't really see anything interesting, aside maybe from Dark Souls 3 (and it doesn't include the DLC anyway).

Pathologic does look cheap enough, but I backed the remake so I'll wait for that.

I was hoping Hellblade would have a bigger discount, although I may pick it at some point over the Christmas break. Also humming and arring over Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Whats the general opinion on that? Also is the season pas worth the extra?

I picked up xcom to play on the laptop. Tried the demo and liked it so 4.99 for the ultimate edition seems good to me

Uhm... why can't I browse special offers anymore? As in, why do I only get the selection shown on the front page?

Nabbed Y's VII, but to be honest, I didn't really see much that looked particularly attractive. This just seems to be a reheat of the Thanksgiving sale.

AC: Oranges went down to 35, but it's been cheaper on cdkeys for ages. I was really looking for something sub-30 before I took the plunge.

@Rogueywon I think you can get Oranges to just under 30 on Green Man Gaming with their Christmas sale code.

This is a real pain. Probably trying to force everyone to rely on recommendations now.

@RunningMan I think they're thrashing around to try to find a solution to Steam's "discovery" problems and are using the season sales as a test-bed for different ways of presenting content. What they're trying for the Christmas sale does not feel to me like the solution though and it is highly annoying.

Grabbed House of the dying Sun and Rez Infinite to play in VR

HOTDS is a pretty cool looking mission based space shooter, was basically looking for something closer to something like X-wing/TIE fighter rather than a sprawling Elite game

Planet Coaster for 7.49 seems like a bargain, only found it as it was on my wishlist though, this 'we're not telling you explicitly what's on sale' thing sucks.

Is it really so good for business to make your store as consumer unfriendly as possible? Remember the times when right on top, the left 2/3 was new releases/highlights and the right 1/3 was specials? Now I have to scroll down several pages, skipping recommendations and trending and friends and steam controller games and VR games and all that nonsense to get to what I'm looking for.

Well, right now the winter offers are on top. Only that I can't browse them anymore.

Ended my holiday shopping with Nier (4 cheaper on the Humble Store if you're a Monthly subscriber) and Tooth and Tail. Was going to wait until Nier dropped to 30 or so but, hey, you need to treat yourself at Christmas!

Now I just need to get rid of the family for the next week so I'll have time to play...

@gamecat Ooooh, good spot on Planet Coaster. Been tempted by that for a while, but was waiting for a price cut. That'll do nicely.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 is 50% off - 17.49 on Steam.
Had my eye on this since launch, which wasn't that long ago I dont think...
