Also picked up Dungeons 3. Past entries in this series didn't impress me much (preferred War for the Overworld), but this one seems quite good.

Had my eye on this since launch, which wasn't that long ago I dont think...
Seen this cheaper at wingamestore, which gives you a steam key. Bought a few things from them, and never had an issue.

How much are you after for it? Just read a bit about it and it sounds quite interesting. I had just assumed it was another online survival in the vein of ARK,etc.

Seems like I already had Trackmania Canyon a few years ago, as I have gold medals in most stages already. It's been in my Steam wishlist for over a year, always waiting for a good discount, glad I only paid a fiver or so.

I really like the look of it and I've heard a lot of good things about it, but I swore I would never buy early access again.
I bought it the other day. Only played very briefly but seems good. Also the game seems pretty 'finished' except there's just the one game mode - think they're adding like a campaign and stuff in the new year.

Your post inspired me to pick up Megaman I again. The thing that is most difficult about it is when you run out of lives you have to start the level all over again.
I managed to get to Dr Wily stage one. Couldn't quite time the jumps for the yellow devil and got bored/killed.

The last time I played this game I gave up on the Iceman level, fortunately I had beaten elecman already this time which made iceman easy.

    @whatthefu

Gave it a shot a short while ago, MM1 Elec Man stage, died a few times in the first room. Almost made it to Snake Man in the easier MM3 (I know it turns difficulty up tenfold later). I remembered it was ridiculously hard, but somehow I forgot that "ridiculously hard" is not just a saying.

Let's see if I can come up with the required effort and dedication.

What badly caught my eye is just how bad even tiny lag is. This game was made for analogue input and output and CRT screens, not for PCs with digital input connected to a flat screen.

Absolutely. Bloody digital shite and LCDs. Nothing to do with us getting old and crap.

In my day we had to wait for the tape to load before jumping etc...

Of course most of it is due to my age (and incompetence). Still input and display lag is not something I made up, it's noticeable when playing other NES/SNES games on modern hardware (with both screens turned on, I can even see the TV lagging behind the PC screen ever so slightly), but usually it's not a big problem. Mega Man is a game of razor sharp timing though, it definitely feels more present here than in Super Mario World or something.

I know that one, I was annoyed when I first noticed that.
A sub-10ms monitor vs a standard big LCD TV is no contest.

Last minute purchase advice needed: Resi Evil 5 or Tomb Raider (2013)?
The last TR I played was Underworld, enjoyed that one.
My last RE was 6, was kinda meh.

Or any other cheap titles recommendations?

I couldn't get TR to work and had to get a refund. Just wouldn't load up at all, black screen.

Bought the follow-up (RotTR) instead and it plays like a dream.

@DrStrangelove That bundle's amazing. It also includes Pillars of Eternity, which is a fantastic 60-80 hour RPG, blending Baldur's Gate style gameplay with modern production values. It doesn't, sadly, include the White March expansion, but you can pick that up separately if you want it, I guess (its content is late-game stuff, so you have plenty of time to decide whether you want it).

Doom is 10 on Bundle Stars, who are now renamed to "Fanatical" apparently

Don't remember if it was as low in previous sales, but so I'll post it just in case.

The latest Humble Bundle has some older Rockstar titles at a very attractive price indeed. You may well own some of them already, but even if it's just to fill the gaps, this is a cheap one.

A few of the codes from that will be in the next code-giveaway thread (expected early April).
