Remove the drunkness, and we'll see if that's really true.

I agree, humans will be long gone when this occurs, I would love to see what evolution has come up with at around the point of the suns death. Everyone seems to be sat down on facebook so I imagine legs will have gone.

Isn't that a bit difficult when you have alcohol for blood? ;)

Ants have alcohol in their blood naturally, you'll never see a unhappy ant. And every now and then he'll get to spunk up the queen or is that bees, anyway.

To ridiculous? How? Of course it's possible, not heard of super nova's or red dwarves or black holes, the sun dying would mean an end to everything living, therefore makes a great story.

I think the point he was making is it was silly that the sun could be jump-started with a big bomb. And it is. All those things you mentioned have nothing to do with the movie.

Brian Cox originally suggested that a Q-ball was trapped in the sun and is consuming its matter, and the bomb is used to dislodge it, but this was never mentioned in the movie, only in a commentary track.

Heh, I believe our sun is middle aged, correct me if I'm wrong, it will start to fade or have less energy like in the film, but this shouldn't be considered a weakness, because our sun is going to explode in a massive supa nova, talking us with it, approx 6 minutes after exploding this little planet will be gone, so there is a reason life put mega intelligence into us, it's so we could figure out the fact the sun is going to explode and we need to get off this fucking rock. Earth is going bye bye.

The sun does not have enough mass to go supernova, it will become a red giant and probably swallow Earth. OM NOM NOM. Before that happens though they reckon that all water on the planet will be boiled away in about a billion years because it's gradually getting hotter.

I much prefer The Thin Blue Line, but I'm guessing they are in no way similar.

However, tonight I'm going to watch

Edit: 9pm for Segal. Not that any of you give a flying fuck ;-)

Roy Scheider has the best wife in Jaws. "Wanna get drunk and fool around?" is the only thing I wanna hear from my future wife.

Bah, that's not a reasonable hour! Why couldn't it be on at 9pm instead of Blade: Trinity?

Do they even show the directors proper cut on TV ?

I don't think Alien is too bad apart from killing off previous characters and terrible CGI. What does the Directors Cut make better ?
