Registered 14 years ago@President_Weasel you haven't stumbled into a parallel universe (or maybe you have....), it happened on bbc3 this evening. Load of rubbish, probably designed to get the DJ, Rob Lowe in to Hollywood! -

"Well, it was a valiant effort, but I'm nonethewiser as to why. Lowe's curation left no particular stamp on it beyond sounding quite similar. It was like someone choosing to dress up as the Drive soundtrack for Hallowe'en, only there wasn't anything funny or smart about it, and no sweets or alcohol changed hands." -

Yep, was watching some of it earlier. Utter utter pants.
On the plus side, it made almost a billion dollars at the box office. -
Should be watching Dave Allen anyway.

Registered 9 years agoIndependence Day belongs in the other thread "Films Now Starting on TV".
Later tonight on Film4 there's a film on called Rize. Never watched it or heard about it until now but it sounds interesting - a documentary from David Lachapelle about a dance called crumping. -

Gladiator is on ITV for like the 1000th time, but I haven't seen it in a few years so I'm enjoying it. Phoenix deserved that best supporting oscar so much, one of the biggest snubs for me. Outshone Crowe who got the best actor oscar.
