    What egos, all involved in the rescore should really take a long look in the mirror tomorrow morning!

    What fresh bullshit is this? I'm getting the impression someone re-scored Drive? What the absolute fuck?

    Wasn't awful. Just utterly pointless.

    @President_Weasel you haven't stumbled into a parallel universe (or maybe you have....), it happened on bbc3 this evening. Load of rubbish, probably designed to get the DJ, Rob Lowe in to Hollywood!

    From The Telegraph (Kat Brown) -

    "Well, it was a valiant effort, but I'm nonethewiser as to why. Lowe's curation left no particular stamp on it beyond sounding quite similar. It was like someone choosing to dress up as the Drive soundtrack for Hallowe'en, only there wasn't anything funny or smart about it, and no sweets or alcohol changed hands."

    Ha, that sounds like some of the trick or treaters round here. 13 year olds pitching up with some fangs and their school shirt untucked.

    Down Terrace started ten minutes ago on. Love this film. You've not missed much yet though, just general banter, establishing characters and that.

    Spartacus, mostly over, totally brilliant no matter how many times I watch it. Oysters vs Snails debate in this one I see.

    @nickthegun

    Yep, was watching some of it earlier. Utter utter pants.

    On the plus side, it made almost a billion dollars at the box office.

    Independence Day belongs in the other thread "Films Now Starting on TV".

    Later tonight on Film4 there's a film on called Rize. Never watched it or heard about it until now but it sounds interesting - a documentary from David Lachapelle about a dance called crumping.

    If someone posted every time independence day was starting, this thread would be as long as the Prem one.

    Gladiator is on ITV for like the 1000th time, but I haven't seen it in a few years so I'm enjoying it. Phoenix deserved that best supporting oscar so much, one of the biggest snubs for me. Outshone Crowe who got the best actor oscar.
