When Celine Dion was popular, I thought, "Urgh! Well, at least that's the worst Canadian music can ever get" Thanks Nickelback. |

I recall that in the early days of the web there used to be a programme shown a few weeks before eurovision that featured a lot of the songs. The british song has been previewed going back to the 1950s though, so Bucks Fizz's song shouldn't have been a surprise (although I suspect the skirt bit was held back for the night).
I also think it's ridiculous that all the songs are out there in advance of the final. Maybe it has always been that way? I don't think so though. Things like Abba and Bucks Fizz were a complete surprise on the night. But maybe I was just well young and blind to the ways of the world.
Bucks Fizz's song was the british entry before there was public voting though. There were regional panels apparently, selecting their favourite song from the selection, but that was televised. -

Listening to,
To which I would have said Royal Blood -
I thought I was crying tears of laughter, but they were tears of upset at how bad this is.

Registered 8 years agoI was listening to that and thinking, it isn't that bad really even though very derivative, and then the dubstep started.............oh god O.O It now sounds like three groups playing at the same time :'( -
I've heard worse but it does sound like 3 entirely different, boring, songs stuck together in a careless manner. Jack of all trades, master of none seems entirely appropriate. -

Sleaford Mods must be the biggest case of Emperor's New Clothes in music since Die Antwoord. They sound like a pissed uncle who thinks he can rap after listening to his kid's Eminem CD.
The guy must have some dirt on a lot of big names to get a record contract and feature on records by The Prodigy and Leftfield. -

Registered 19 years agoSo I can't stand this Slaves band, but then I heard Sleaford Mods.
Even worse is this Leftfield song the guy is in, going on about "Head and Shoulders, chicken in a basket". -

Registered 14 years agoI don't know why it was made or why I have heard it but Avril lavigne (vaginal liver) covering chop suey has to be number 1 on my list, could be used as a method of torture.

pop music
My two favourite genres of music are death metal and jazz. There's plenty of crap within both, and there's also lots of pop I would prefer to listen to.
