A bit late but it is also on Eurosport too.

Another decent Formula E race yesterday. Gen 2 cars are infinitely more watchable than Gen 1.

I like attack mode. Adds something to the race.
I think there is a case for it to replace drs. I like that there is some strategy in how you use it.

F1 could do with less gimmicks, not more.

    I disagree.

I feel that F1 would be much better when sprinklers that make the track wet at random points in the race, boosts that make it easy to overtake and personally, i feel that we should include either car swaps or the driver having to do his own pit stops to really make it interesting.

Also, drivers should be able to pick one of three defensive/offensive items which can be used if they receive enough votes from the F1 app. Items include, banana skins, oil spills and small homing rockets in the shape of a tortoise shell.

I thought the idea of randomly wetting the track was a good idea but I imagine it would cause major fallouts along with it. Not to mention loads of conspiracy theories.

I just want better sounding cars. And better fan access at the races instead of like £1000 to get into the bin storage areas Ted from Sky gets into

Make a powerhose the preferred method of clearing debris under yellow flags

Well all the new F1 cars look the same as last years models to me so far, except the Williams, which looks like a Mercedes.

I think they're all showing modified 2018 cars in an attempt to hide any major aerodynamic developments.

From a livery perspective, the ones to watch out for are Ferrari, who apparently have a new shade of red, Racing Point and possibly McLaren, who have just announced a new partnership with BAT in a similar vein to Mission Winnow and have teased metallic papaya paintwork.

I hope Alfa Romeo use their red over the whole car now they've fully lost the Sauber name.

Wonder how many more dodgy as fuck "companies" with no tangible assets we#re going to see this season.

Also, IndyCar test at Circuit of the Americas yesterday, sideways round half the lap. Awesome.

It's nice but after they did that tweet of "silver is so last season" I was kind of hoping for a more substantial change.

Yeah, it's a one off livery. Shame, I like it. I imagine (based on the identical-to-last-year Toro Rosso) that it'll be business as usual. Which I suppose isn't bad.

    McLaren today!

Alfa Romeo have just leaked. They have an extremely interesting front wing concept.

Hopefully more successful than the Williams walrus nose.

I watched a bit of the McLaren launch. A bit cringe as the staff stood in a circle around the car looking awkward for 10 mins. Still no title sponsor either? Huski chocolate seems to be the biggest sponsor

I think BAT's "A better tomorrow" E-cig stuff is effectively their main sponsor now. As highlighted on their new race suit.

These new "simpler" front wings look even bigger than the old ones.

    They are. Less complex though.

@danydany It's suppose to increase the downforce when running in the dirty air behind another car.

Not a big fan of the growing blue panel appearing on the McLaren. The orange is very nice, but it needs to all be orange, or orange and black.

Caught the Frank Williams documentary last night. Made me realise that I'd only ever seen the stubborn man, and not the phenomenal people behind him. I was just starting to get into F1 in the mid-80s, so I missed the Williams backstory and the impact of Patrick Head. His daughter comes across well - the sibling rivalry is tragi-comic. Highly recommended watching, just for the number of times Nigel Mansell gets called an arse :)

I like the new matt red on the Ferrari. They say that paint saves a bit of weight. Not sure about that but whatever! And why was Vikki Butler-Henderson overseeing the launch?! Iíve not seen her for 15 years.
