What a performance by Hamilton and Mercedes-AMG. Truly outstanding.

@spurslol so car, driver, pressure, track condition and temp make no difference?

Another race ruined by the modern aero/Tilke combo.

They can measure three of those things, clearly. Add in lap times and it's pretty easy to determine wear level.

75% of a really good race. Shame the ending didnít quite happen. Great drive from Lewis. Shame for Norris :(

@spurslol No it's not. You need to know every one of hundreds of factors to give an exact percentage of tyre life remaining. Why would teams get caught with blistering or a tyres falling off a cliff if they knew it was going to happen? Those figures are a guess at best.

When is the last time a team got caught out with tyres falling off a cliff? It's not 2014.

ďMy tyres are really shit guysĒ

*drives fastest lap of the race*

Next Hamilton will be telling us that Ferrari have the best car going into next season.

"Lewis's tyres will fall off towards the end, just hold for now"

As long as Ferrari keep falling for it he might as well keep doing it.

Yup. I guess we really do need those rule changes. Nothing seemed to happen once they got within that couple of seconds of each other.

Vettel pushing Hamilton out wide, who then came together with Verstappen.

It wasn't obvious on Sky either - Croft mentioned Grosjean I believe at one point but it was never clarified.

Got the radio on for the first time in a long while, Jennie Gow sounds disturbingly like my Dragon's Dogma pawn, "They're weak to fire!"

Hamilton's engineer really does run reality distortion duty. He did it in style today apparently.. eh?? Anyway, hopefully just 1 more season and then things COULD change with the new cars.

Why would it be any use in the race? It's not like they're carrying massive amounts of spare fuel / oil.

F1 really needs to get itself back on free to air. British world champ, form of his life and I doubt Iíve watched an hour of it all year. Based on activity in WhatsApp groups and this thread, no one else is watching either.

In fairness, he made a go of a one stop strategy whereas everyone else was on a 2 stop. He held the lead for all but 3 laps. He only needed an eighth place so could have done a safe two stop for third. Fighting for a win is a better way to go about it, even if you don't eventually get the 1st.

Also, he has done pretty well in winning 10 races this year.

How's the 5 year plan coming along Renault? You're suppose to be winning it next year.

Same here, used to get up at 4/5am, watch every qualifying session etc.
If they donít care about me, tough.

If they want to take Skyís shilling, thatís thatís their choice. But Iím not paying, they repaid my loyalty by wanting to charge me for it.
I think the yanks get it, but are bound by the poison chalice that the poison dwarf left for them.
