    @brokenkey

I think the Chassis and Battery are universal but teams can now build and supply everything from the power train to the gearbox etc

Vettel will be keen to put that crash in Brazil and all the other mistakes this season behind him and have a good strong last race of the season.....and he spins it before he even starts his first qualifying lap...

So a quick summary of the Ferrari launch today:

Binotto thinks the car is a step forward
Vettel thinks the car looks great
Leclerc has been training hard all winter and can't wait to get behind the wheel again

For a summary of all other upcoming launches just substitute the appropriate names in above to see what they've said about their new car.

@urban Thanks for sharing that. Entertaining, but confirmation that NASCAR is closer to a monster truck derby than it is to motorsport.

5 cars out of 18 finishing is hilarious alright. Also, those are the secondary cars for their Daytona 500 races this week so it's only fucked them for a bigger race.

The liveries have all been a bit boring so far. The only slight change is the Merc splash of red. We need someone to whip out a new version of the cheeky pink Force India or McLaren's switch to orange!

The new McLaren is quite a good-looking thing tbf. They've gone for the Red Bull matte paint, but it works better with the orange and blue imho.

The new McLaren looks very nice, but with the exception of 2012's crazy airpod design; the better looking the car, the worse it tends to be.

They said Lando had a hand in making it, does that mean its glow in the dark paint and neons underneath.

I hope they do better again this year.

Random stream today on Norris's twitch channel, I quite like the weridness with drivers being more open and let to do more since Bernie went.

This years controversy. They already had Mercedes engine, gearbox and suspension, so might as well go the whole hog!

Other teams might even have been able to overlook it had Perez not gone 3rd fastest, a tiny fraction behind Mercedes.

Let's be honest, they've been parting like the Red Sea and letting a Mercedes sail by whenever one has been behind them for years. A few extra parts chucked their way is hardly a surprise.

Love the slimmer noses on most cars this year. They look so much sleeker.

So pleased to see Williams looking better too. They've already beaten their qualifying lap time from the 2019 Spanish GP :)

In fairness I could have walked around the circuit and beat it.

My hope for this season is Lance Stroll gets shown up again. I think he is one of the most dis-likable drivers I have seen in F1

I know testing doesn't mean a lot but Mercedes usually just load it up with fuel and do hundreds of laps, ending up in the midfield in lap times. If they are doing the same this year then gulp.

Dislikeable yes but not necessarily the worst. Granted, his qualifying leaves a lot to be desired but he has very good race pace.

I'd venture to say that Leclerc is by far the most dislikable. His antics at Monza were just dirty and very dangerous.

Meh. He got bullied by Verstappen in Austria, he maybe went a bit too far the other way in Monza. He's hardly the only one on the grid who does stuff like that. Ironically the guy that would easily top this thread's most dislikeable poll is one of the few who doesn't, generally.

    Meh - i don't mind Leclarc.

Not many drivers have to get Daddy to buy a team to get a seat though.

He doesn't have to usually, but it's not like he hasn't, for example, pathetically slowed to a stop in slow corners and backed his teammate into oncoming rivals against his team's wishes to try and win the championship. They are all as guilty as each other as long as it benefits them, it's such a harsh and cutthroat sport they have to be selfish so you can't fault them for that.

It's the attitude around that selfishness that forms people's opinions and Leclerc comes across as a little bitch. Vettel helped him massively to win a few races last season and when it was time for the shoe to go on the other foot he whined like a massive baby about it. I don't think anyone thinks bad of him because of Austria.

A manual active suspension? Surely that can't be a loophole?

They wouldn't have developed it if they weren't sure it was a clear loophole

Sounds to me that they're prepared to argue it's not part of the suspension.

Is the steering part of the suspension? Sounds like something a very clever lawyer came up with.

F1 at it's best. Mark priestly explains it very well on YouTube. No rule breaking at all. Just pushing tech further
