I’ve been watching a bit of Jimmy’s content for a while too. He seems like a really decent guy, so good on him for the spotlight he’s getting right now.

Also got a 350z and an old MX5 that he's converted for track racing. His MX5 tinkering is pretty cool, bottom rung motorsport done right.

Nice vid. Weirdly, he lives on the same road as my dad in a tiny village in East Sussex.

I hope someone can help me out here :-) I need to watch some/all of the 2019 F1 races on Sky - if I pay for Sky Sports are these available in an archive? I really need the full races.

    @TechnoHippy

I'm fairly sure Sky don't typically have the full race archive available available on demand. They periodically air some on Sky F1, so eventually you'd be able to record most of them over time but that's far from ideal.

However you might be in luck via the Official website who are running an offer:
    https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.get-ready-to-binge-f1-tv-access-is-now-free-for-30-days.1Dil4SQ8MZCbJDFFy3Z1kk.html

I'm just not sure how the rights are affected by the Sky deal in the UK. You might be able to view 2019 races, but they may be too recent. You may as well make an account and see though as you can cancel within 30 days without cost.

If 2019 races on F1.com are too recent for UK based accounts, I think you have two options:

    1) look on Sky Go app and see which races are available, as you can normally browse the catalogue before subscribing to a channel.
    2) try and find a VPN that works with the Official F1 video service to spoof your location.

On the subject of racing archives I can recommend Duke Video's BTCC downloads for anyone with a passing interest in the 'golden era' of touring cars:
    https://www.dukevideo.com/Touring-Car/BTCC

On a whim I bought the 1994 season review as £7 seemed reasonable enough to take a punt. Video quality is pretty good given it was filmed in PAL 4:3, and the effect of Steve Ryder's narration, Murray Walker's commentary and seeing Tarquini, Cleland, Rouse, Hoy, Rydell et al banging doors was an instant timewarp to Saturday afternoons watching grandstand with my dad.

Such a shame that 90s era BTCC rules became unsustainable as it's just so much better to watch than anything they've done since.

@muddyyfunster Thanks - I already have access to F1 TV, but I specifically need to research the Sky Sports coverage for work. I'll take a look at SkyGo to see if I can access anything there.

So Formula E just had their first sim race. Just flicked through it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I got the impression it was for real world points?!

    Pretty cool:

The top-of-the-range hardware in Alexander Albon’s £29,000 simracing rig...

Whether he’s playing F1 2019 or Euro Truck Simulator 2, Alexander Albon has the very best simracing equipment at his fingertips and feet.

The Red Bull Formula 1 driver has built a simracing set-up most online racers would envy. Here’s the details on his choice of kit – and what it would cost to build one of your own.

Interesting Indycar race last night, a french guy who won a lot in real life got pissed at Lando for passing him so took him out 2 laps from the end.

Cool, but odd that they've included the football stadium style chants in the background. They could have gone with the "EJ" from formula E for a bit of music to cover the lack of sound.
