Registered 17 years agoI got a pair of these bad boys the other day
They're actually more garish in real life \o/ -
recently (6 months back) bought myself a pair of Dr Martin Jarvis shoes (in black), would recomend them, simple slip on design and a nice comfy casual shoe without looking to much like a trainer! Only niggle I had with them is it took some pretty painful breaking in over the first week of ownership. -

Got mine from the Puma site. It's good in that you can select half sizes.

The site is weird so if it doesn't go straight to them then just search 'First Round sketch'. -

Registered 15 years agoIs there a place where I can buy some ethical shoes which aren't made by multi-national corporations in sweatshops for consumerist and conformist, slaves? -
o_o
All the best shoes resulted in at least one disfigured 9 year old. -

Um, I'd say they were far from 'gamers' attire.
I wouldn't wear them, but that's more because I'm old.
I don't know too many gamers in real life so I was talking purely about people on this forum, and everyone here seems to have terrible taste in footwear.
Have to say what shoes you wear now?
I usually wear these but it depends on what I'm doing.
What "huge PS3 fanboy thing"? o_0
If you're trying to call me a dirty charva you're wrong, most of the chavs I know own 360s. -

Registered 15 years agoI want to get some new shoes but I always find shopping for them extremely difficult. I want a pair which are clean, elegant, almost discreet, as unbranded as possible, as ethical as possible, as cheap as possible and which aren't something chavs or any subculture for the matter would wear, oh, and I don't want to feel like a tool wearing them. Can anyone help? -

Registered 15 years agoI have actually been wearing my white plimsolls as much as possible (whenever it is socially acceptable!) but they and my other shoes have disintegrated to a critical level. I've been putting off this shop because I can never find the right shoes but I have an important few days coming up and I need to look reasonably smart. So, no plimsolls. Good suggestion though. -

Registered 14 years agoYou might find these bad boys work for you. They're very light and comfy, and not really like any other skate shoe I've ever worn -
The only shoes I wear are for work, otherwise I'm in trainers or occasionally a shoe slip on.
Just bought these Ted Baker and they're lovely. I really like soft slip on driving style shoes. -

Registered 14 years agoBeen wearing Caterpillars for years now and they get the job done perfectly. Totally waterproof, smart enough to pass for regular shoes and comfortable enough to walk in all day.
The only downside is some cock coming along and 'testing' to see if you have steel toe caps. I don't, ok? Stop scuffing my boots, dammit! -

Ahh, shoes.
I'm still slightly shellshocked after ordering a pair of these yesterday. At 400 euros they are easily my most expensive pair ever. Hopefully they will last me for quite a while though. When I buy cheaper dress shoes they always seem to end up being worn out in about a year and a half or so. Hopefully these will be more value for money, if I take proper care of them.
