You're making the assumption that the Sun staff have actually read the book, when they are probably basing their opinions on the 1931 film.

Even most of the films show the monster in a sympathetic or tragic light

Can only assume this was a 'you have 10 minutes to get an article up about this Frankenstein thing I saw somewhere else, put some sort of anti-millenial/intellectual angle on it because our readers like that'

The sad thing is that Sun readers will be all "hur hur hur, stoopid snowflakes" and will never know the intense idiocy of the article.

You would hope a journalist for the biggest paper in the country would have some basic grasp of English literature.

From what I can tell the journalists at the Sun/Mail/Express/Mirror are about as cultured as the people that read their papers. Makes sense I guess.

I had to look at the comments. Only one person had commented before the article was circulated as an object of ridicule, but it's quite something.

Seeing that it's a fictional character, perhaps the UNi's should all be closed down and make it illegal for anyone to employ these Snowflake ex-uni students, who don't seem able to see the diferrence between fiction and reality..............the Far Left have really destroyed our education system.....................but that was their intent all along.

It's the Sinistre / Siniter Hard Left tutors within the education system who need eradicating..............before this becomes the norm.

They’re not wrong about the education system being fucked. They are exhibit A.

I met a Daily Mail writer through a mate of mine who does documentary work, he was all kinds of sexually repressed and openly admitted to losing his virginity to a lapdancer that he paid.

I hate metaphors. That’s why my favorite book is Moby Dick. No frou-frou symbolism, just a good simple tale about a man who hates an animal.

Can't be that version, the film focuses in on that element of the story of him trying to fit in to society. There is the famous scene where he is spying on the kids (Tomorrows sun: Frankenstein's monster was a paedo) and he tries to connect with the girl after learning english/modern etiquette to better himself and try to fit in.

I reckon they've just seen the addams family or something. Or Cartoons.

Well they made a left loving version recently that makes him not a cunt but a loving father.

Was this version also a frothy latte loving Dracula that was often down the local farmer's market for some organic craft blood?

To be fair, they still kept Dracula a cunt by having Adam Sandler voice him.

Stig Abell, a former managing editor of the Sun, said there would never be another editor like Mr Dacre.

I only.edited it because I was saving my rant for the heaps of similar celebratory.rants that I expected in the wake of the news. Obviously I have something to learn from Dacre about news.
