I'm in the mood to play some mega drive roms but I can't stomach keyboard controls so I'm wandering if anyone knows if it's possible to connect a DS3 to a mac over bluetooth? Maybe with the use of a clever program?

    Cheers.

Ya, PS3 controller is HID compliant.

i don't know what that means but if it means i can play SNES Mario Kart with my PS3 controller, you can consider me 'well chuffed'

Huh, doesn't work using any of the drivers or shareware I've found
  • Deleted user 14 February 2009 12:48:51
Works for me. What are you trying to use it with?
  • Deleted user 14 February 2009 12:53:30
I am using the drivers I found here: http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Ps3Controller

Controller is a DS3 with connection cable. I'm on a Macbook Pro and I'm trying to get it to work with SNES9x.

I've also tried a bit of shareware that gave me a preference pane for assigning the buttons on the controller to keys but that didn't work properly. Seemed buggy.

As I said, it's HID compliant so doesn't need drivers, using mine with snes9x no problem. You did configure controllers didn't you?

Maybe the fact that you've installed drivers has fucked it up.
