Would you get a refurb?

I'm asking on behalf of a workmate. I don't really know much about them. She's looking to get an ibook. Pros and cons?

I'd be very wary. Doubly so for a laptop. Depends how "refurbed" they mean. If they mean a quick going over with some keyboard cleaner, I wouldn't touch it.

I have a refurb iBook from the apple stor, and as far as I can tell there's nothing wrong with it at all.
