It's Russell.
I really hope Rusty’s real name is Robert so that it’ll be Robert’s e-Nero. The dealership can play that Bananarama track when it’s ready to collect
Sorry
I'm also trying to figure which Bananarama track you're referring to.

Registered 12 years agoI'm tired of every 18 year old driving a better car than me, so I'm looking to lease a 2019 Golf GTI mk 7.5.
Can anyone recommend a good car leasing firm? -

I'll take a look, thanks.
Have to say, the Golf GTIs I've priced up so far on Synergy car leasing are working out at just under £20k for 3 years. It'd only cost £10k more to buy it outright.
Thought it'd be cheaper to lease than that, and that's not taking into account tax or the ludicrous insurance quotes I'm likely to receive on a GTI, even as a 36 year old.
Still not sure how so many 18 year olds can afford to lease these fancy German motors, and the Golf GTI is hardly an extravagant example. -

Registered 18 years agoThe use of the mustang name is kinda weird. American muscle - electric SUV! Range looks good though. -

I know, in this era of constant climate change news coverage, that it's wrong, but the current Mustang GT is a bit of a dream car for me (as in almost obtainable dream, rather than listing £100k+ supercars). Totally impractical and expensive to run, but I've always wanted one and I love the styling on the current iteration. Since they launched in the UK in right hand drive, even better

Saying all that, I totally do not understand the Mach-E. It's so far removed from everything the Mustang stands for. I also think it's absolutely hideous.
Not against electric cars (i would love a Tesla), but the Mach-E Mustang really isn't my cup of tea in the style department and should not be using the Mustang name IMO -

Registered 3 years agoThe subsidies (iZEV) the government put on the leasing here makes it more affordable. It works out to pay for about ten months on 36 month agreement. I don't think I'd go for it without that so yay for racist Justin -

Everyone has different tastes. I mean, someone had to be buying the Fiat Multipla for example. I'm glad you like the new electric Mustang and I would never wish anyone spending that kind of cash anything other than many years of happy motoring.
I do think electric vehicles are the direction of travel in future, and now most have a range that does make them practical. I'd seriously consider one for my next car, but at the moment they are just too expensive in the UK, even with subsidies. -

Registered 3 years agoThe car can take 150kw charging, I think Shell are starting rollout of these, otherwise the motorway charging networks.
The reason I picked the Ford was that their range software is up there with Tesla (and that's where Tesla have smashed the competition as their range calc takes into account elevation changes and weather on the route). That makes a massive difference and route planning long journeys is great, I went for the chav spec and expect that real world cold weather highway range will be about 200 miles the way I drive.
I can't do more than that without a piss break - not to mention I find driving really tiring - so having a pitstop enforced will be a good thing.
I've got three phase power already at home because I've got a ground heat pump and other hippie stuff which requires it, so I'll be able to charge relatively quickly
