He took the advice too seriously about getting something done, flipped out and stabbed someone. He's now in a cell somewhere, I hope you're proud of yourselves.
Yup, here we go again. -

Registered 16 years agoMaybe P_I is now in the past, doctoring the registers to get HIMSELF kicked out. Even if he doesn't, he can't stop himself doing it because it's already happened anyway. He should find Faradays mother. -

I hated having to sign the register. How was I meant to know she was only 14? -

Just you and Lukus. You should get together and discuss it over a nice meal with some fine white wine. Perhaps go to the ballet too?
Anyone else find sawyer uncomfortably attractive? Fine specimen of a man. I'm not a girl or gayer, but I would... -

Your Uni sounds even more disastrous than most. The course I'm doing has an 80% minimum attendance for its core modules, but if you even vaguely look like you might be about to dip below that, they start sending letters and emails, requesting that you attend special sessions to work out any problems, offering counselling and god knows what else.
I wish I had this at Uni. Our lecturers had their department gouged away so no one really had to time to care if you didn't turn up or to help you. -

Ugh, I've been drinking heavily since about 3 o'clock with a friend...
Anyway I got nowhere again.
1) I went to the main help desk demanding to see the register. They told me that they didn't have it and I should go to the computing help desk.
2) At the computing help desk I asked to see the register, which I finally got to see after a lot of complaining. Success! She confirmed that I went to the classes. She then told me to go to my main tutor to discuss the situation. I told her that I've seen him twice and there's no way he's going to change his decision. She basically shrugged and said she couldn't do anything else.
3) I went back to the main help desk and told them what happened. I demanded to see somebody higher than my main tutor. The told me that they can't contact anybody higher. Okay, I asked for an email address but they had nothing. They told me to go and speak to teh student union.
4) So now I'm at the union and I explain what happened. They tell me that they also don't have any contact information about anybody higher than my main tutor. They advice me to contact an advisor. So, I ask the obvious question about speaking to an advisor. "Opps, nobody's in (again)." She gave me an email address.
So there we go. I've got another fucking email address. I asked to speak to somebody higher and they don't have any contact informaition. Next time I go in to speak to an advisor and they don't allow me to talk to anybody higher, that's their last strike. I've proved that I went to all the classes and they're going to do fuck all about it.
This is where it gets a little messy. The module I got withdrawn from is a core module, meaning that I neeed to pass it to get my degree. BUT, it has a module after it that requires the first module to be completed before I can start it. Basically, I can't get my degree this year no matter what. So fuck it. I'm going to demand compensation and if they don't give me it I'm going to court.
I'm so fucking drunk you don't know how long it took me to write this shit. -

Registered 16 years agoI assumed you'd been spending the last eight hours sucking the tutor off so that he would let you back in.
Also, you take no for an answer way too easily. -

Registered 15 years agoYeah, at this point I'd be considering a solicitor's letter. I'd also get a photocopy of the appropriate register if I were you.

Ring the switchboard and ask to be put through to his office. Then badger the fuck out of his PA. -

Registered 13 years agoyou have the proof, if the only reason you were kicked off the module was lack of attendance and you can prove you were there then you should go and threaten your tutor with this evidence, because it is a huge breach uni policy (my uni policy anyway) for him to do that to you.
also kick up a huge fuss with the uni tomorrow and get the uni paper involved, just keep demanding to talk to someone higher until you reach the top. -

Registered 15 years agoI hope you got a photocopy of the register! If you did, show it to your tutor until he agrees that there's been a mistake. If it's not sorted in 24 hours and your degree is still in doubt, threaten legal action and/or press. -
Man, there's not a facepalm big enough for this thread. It'd have to involve a nuclear impact where the hands contact with the face. -
