Registered 15 years agoOh wait, when we cancelled we were already on the phone to them complaining that they were shit. So ignore me. -
No, you're right a-t; you can't do it online. You have to phone them and be ready to say upwards of 4 times that you want to leave because they'll basically not take NO for an answer.
Unless they've changed something, that is. I cancelled a few months ago and whereas I used to be able to do it online this time their website said that cancellations had to be done over the phone. This is basically so they can spend 5 minutes of your time refusing to accept that you REALLY want to leave. -
Nope Definatly can't cancel on the My Account section! This is ridiculous, i have to ring them up and cancel?! What a waste Time, im sure with any other DVD rental service this could have been done easily! oh well thanks a lot for the help! -

Registered 19 years agoThere certainly used to be an easy cancellation link in the account pages somewhere. I guess they've removed it to make it harder for people to cancel on a whim. -

Registered 18 years agoLovefilm are ace these days, you can cancel online. I did 2 weeks ago with no problem.
Actually, mine was Tesco via Lovefilm but surely it's the same? If not, bah.
Anyhow 17 quid a month for unlimited games / films with 3 at a time is pretty good IMO. -

You can cancel online after about 11PM when the phone lines aren't open. It won't let you cancel online during the day though. -

Their online viewing is a joke. 66,000 films on dvd, 5,300 online, mostly shit.
What a crock of shit. I had high hopes for it on my ps3. -

Registered 20 years agoI've watched a few things on their online system, but only stuff I had already put on my list, and only stuff out of that that's free to watch. The resolution on my PC is shitty (looks like only about 300 lines) but the framerate keeps up, so that's not too bad a bargain for many films. -

Registered 20 years agoSpeaking of lovefilm online, does anyone know if quitting watching a film halfway through lets you keep the minutes you'd otherwise spend watching the rest of it? -

No Need to Cancel if you're going on Holiday!
... Guess I'm waiting until 10pm then. I don't want to talk to some sales person. I do that all day. -

Why you not £5.99 go to feeling good no? See cancel not very when you activity?
Ok so I called up to cancel, and.. what the fuck?
It's an Indian call centre and I couldn't really understand him, he kept going on about "because there's not much activity on your account, we can give you three months free(?) something something, will cost £5.99 (???) but will be cancelled something something"
Now I have no fucking idea. My account now says I'm paying £5.99 per month. I want to be paying nothing per month, have I just been gypped or do I have to give three months notice? -

Registered 13 years agoOut of interest; Can you still cancel online after 10/11pm? My trial runs out tomorrow and I am not paying £13.99.
I also don't fancy ringing them. -

Can anyone answer the above question? I rang them up a few months ago about something and they seem like idiots so cancelling online would be brilliant. -

You can cancel online still I believe...
If you attempt to cancel during their working hours you get a prompt to call them but if you call them out of hours it just goes through online
This certainly used to be the case anyway...
