I buy most of my tools these days off Amazon, though you often have to go marketplace to get non-mainstream stuff like saw files or mitre saws. Other than that I have a couple of local-ish decidedly not-online proper tool shops where I can get pretty much anything I want in a hurry.

Not online, but, seriously, if you're ever is Ross-On-Wye, there is an amazing tool shop. It's packed full of fine tooly goodness. The most tooly tool shop I've ever seen.
