I've finished Leon and Chris' campaign and just started Jakes. Close to giving up on it already. It takes the worst bits from the first two campaigns and amplifies them. -

Registered 6 years agoI'm on the Chris campaign now and yeah not bad, bit different but finding ammo a little scarce and having to splatter heads a lot! Good fun. -
I thought that Chris chasing Ada in the jeep was bad, now I have the pleasure of Jakes motorbike chase.
Worst vehicle section ever.

And I'm fucked I'v got to run, shoot, slide, run, shoot, slide but I'v only got 5 fucking shotgun shells? Save takes me to the start with only 1 ammo pick up. 5 shells, so im.fooked game over. -

Registered 6 years agoIm now on Jake's campaign and I'm very impressed, hats off to capcom in making a good action oriented horror, with a good value replayable enjoyable game. -
Pretty much finished the campaigns off. Pretty good game overall. Not much of a Resident Evil game other that maybe Leon's bit. Not that that's a bad thing given everything pre-4 was a barely playable mess. -

Registered 8 years agonearing the end of leon's campaign, i think, and really enjoying it on the whole - much more than i thought i would and certainly much more than resi 5
the only thing really irking me at the moment is the squiffiness of combat when there's a bunch of zombies involved... -

But that's because I don't like it. It would be different if I did. -

Registered 6 years agoAlso as I mentioned before the default controls made the game feel wrong, the shooting, aiming was way to slow, I put it up to 8, much better and character movement too fast so put it down a notch! Also if you connect to resident evil.net and link you get bonus unlockables as you play. -

You can adjust character movement speed? -

Had the same problem, but everything sort of clicks when you realize that fleeing is often a legitimate option, just like in RE2/3. Just clear a path and run for it.

Gave it a small chance but fucked this off early on. -

That's always been true though. The controls have always been a stumbling block for people getting into Resi. I know I had a a lot of friends at the time who didn't like it because of the controls, and it was always a perfectly fair complaint.
Clunky and boring sums this game up nicely.
The difference is now that even if you can get over the camera, FOV, pacing and control issues. You're left with something pretty polarizing underneath. -

Registered 6 years agoWere all entitled to our opinions of course! I'm on the ps3 and this has a uncharted action feel to it, exciting and thrilling cinematic, certainly not boring, its full of action so maybe try playing all the campaigns! The witcher was boring imo, gta4 boring, Sleeping Dogs boring, Skyrim boring, none of these games I could finish. Yawn a minute fucking games. -

Registered 10 years agoFunny that, the spasmodic character movement in the demo reminded me of Uncharted. -

Registered 8 years agoAbsolutely everything in the game is lifted straight from another game that did it much better. QTEs, gun shops, mine carts, helicopter crashes, jet ski sections, "contextual animations", unstoppable hunters, and into-the-camera-chases. It's all worked for some other game somewhere, sometime. Just not here. -
heh - internet spleen...
it is like a 'now that's what i call greatest hits from action games' compilation with a sprinkling of zombies and mutated wotsits and also the originality of a black lace song but i can't help but be enjoying myself...much prefer it to 5 and possibly 4, though that could just be the length of time since i've played but i don't remember getting much enjoyment out of 4....
