RE4 was actually pretty awesome for the most part. The old Resis are dinosaurs that should be forgotten.

What the hell do you call that island in RE:CV?

Have I played RE. Go hang your head in shame.

    Umbrella has a private army!

    Shame!

Weeeell shit Resi 5 is the only Resi game I've ever liked so make it more like that. :p

No labs are the tired old cliché of RE video games.

    You go replay RE 1-3.
I don't mind the odd lab, come to think of it, the lab was one of the better parts of RE5. I'd like a return to something similar to Mansions, hospitals and police stations of the gothic nature though.

I loved RE5. One of my favourite games this gen. I did play through it with a friend, though.

I can understand the complaints, so I suspect they will do a seperate campaign for RE6 - but I still hope there is a decent co-op component.

Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape are both very positive indicators for the future of the series IMO. Lost In Nightmares, especially, seems to be what a lot of people are looking for in a new RE game.

I actually wouldn't complain if they remade Resi 2 with Resi 4 controls.
  • Deleted user 1 September 2010 14:57:39
RE2 is the best RE game. They just need to remake that and I will be a happy bunny.

Halo can go fuck it's self then.

The tank controls lend themselves well to RE's reliance on precision aiming, IMO.

RE5 was too short, 4 had an epic campaign. The first few were longer as well.
  • Deleted user 1 September 2010 15:14:45
I'd rather have one long epic campaign like 4 instead of a replayable one like 5.
  • Deleted user 1 September 2010 15:25:56
    :)

I'd still rather it was like 1 or 2 with the interactive backgrounds and the fixed camera angles. Plus more puzzling and scares with less action.

    Well I finished RE4 30 times or something. :p

That's great! That's really healthy. You should be proud!

Yeah once they removed the backtracking they became really short. Great replay value though.

It housed quite alot of military equipment and mercs didn't it?

I suppose although the mercs where all dead, it's the only game that even remotely has an "army base" though.

It's the second best one after RE2! So it counts!

Oh I agree, it's "officially" RE3, with Nemesis actually being the side story game, I loves it.
  • Deleted user 1 September 2010 16:20:58
    I never really liked RE3. :(

I liked RE3 it was nowhere near as good as 1 or 2 but had a nice fast paced feel to it. Like CrispyXUK64 says though it never really felt like a true sequel more a side game to RE2.

Man reading this thread makes me want to break out the Resi games, not played then for a while. Must resist need to finish Mafia and Alpha Protocol

That's because CV is the official sequel and Nemesis is the official side game, can't remember why they were named as such, possibly because of timing.
