The girlfriend bought me a gaming chair for my birthday. It looks great and all but I cant get the bloody thing set up.

    Its one of these.

Am I supposed to connect it to the 360 as I dont see much place it can plug into? My tv has plenty sockets on it, can I connect it here somewhere?

The instructions tell me if Im using HDMI to consult my console manual. 360 manual says nothing about it as far as I can see.

Has anyone got one of these and can assist in setting it up? I am using a generic HDMI cable to connect the 360 to my HDTV.

I hate when things dont just work as they are supposed to right out of the box. Maybe its just me being thick. :p

I think I'd fire my girlfriend if she bought me a gaming chair.

    Sorry I can't help.

I have one my wife got me for my birthday; use the audio out dongle that goes in the 360 AV out to get red/white outputs, then use cable provided to connect those to the audio in on the chair. That's what my manual said.

I would never have bought it myself but I have it now so better get it set up before she cries after realising shes bought me another useless present.

I now have the tv connected to the chair through a male to male RCA cable. The xbox connected to the tv with cheapo hdmi cable.

No sound coming from the chair.

If you don't have the add on audio connector for the 360, it'll be easier to connect the chair to your tv instead.
    like you did. ;)

Since you're using HDMI you need to plug the wireless adapter for teh chair into the line out or headphone socket from your telly/surround system.

I don't know much about "gaming chairs" Ive always found them a little tacky tbh but, surely you just have to pipe the audio into the chair? taking a stab in the dark here but I'd say use the 360 audio adaptor and plug either the red & white cables or preferably the optical cable into the chair.

edit: beaten to it while writing the post!

Hi, I use my 360 through the hdmi cable to hd tv. How can i connect up the chair? Can I connect it to my hd tv instead, or do i have to dig out the other leads I got with my 360? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi David,

I have just emailed you the S2500W user manual. Hopefully that will sort you out.

Maybe you could take this course of action?

Ive read the manual. It says I can use a male to male RCA cable (bought seperately) to hook up the audio output on my tv to the audio input on the chair. This is what Ive done.

No sound comes from the chair. :(

Maybe not. According to instructions Ive connected it to Audio/Video input. Connect audio/video output from an external device into these jacks.

Obviously Ive plugged them into the red and white audio jacks not the video one.

Reading up on this, I might see if I can purchase an original xbox 360 AV cable which will plug in alongside my HDMI cable. Seems a better option that shelling out for the official HDMI cable with audio out.

It doesn't need to be plugged into the mains does it?
