Registered 17 years agoPresumably it's actually a lot less "dangerous" for him than some of the previous ones, unless he goes in dressed as a schoolboy.
Although tbh, I think he's a massive twat, so I don't really care. -
Maybe he hasnt gone far enough. -

Registered 14 years agoThere was a two hour documentary on the other day called Deliver us from Evil, it was about paedos and the church, quite interesting, the paedo who was interviewed on there was quite disgusting, it was almost as if he found his actions funny in some way or another. -

I think the producers of his shows include that in every press release, as he drifts further and further away from the micro-reporting that once made him interesting and entertaining. He's now sinking in generic 'controversial' topics which are too wide-sweeping for his style of effectively letting his subjects interview themselves.

Registered 14 years agoLouis Theroux could talk to a shit shoveling farm hand and he'd make it riveting television.
His programs are always superb stuff. Just a shame the Michael Jackson one fell through thanks to Bashir, that one would have been legendary I am sure. -

He can manage to provide insight into the people he's talking to, that's interesting enough. -

Actually, it seems to be very much the case here. It's showcasing what Louis is very good at.

Yep, better than expected - he seems to be focusing on individuals rather than the wider issue, which is absolutely where he works best.

Registered 14 years agoI know they have only chosen to show the ones who were willing to talk to the camera... but it is uncomfortable just how open and honest some of them are about their crimes. But I guess that's all part of the process. -
