Registered 18 years agoThe first two were pretty poor, but I'll put my hand up and say that I enjoyed 'Angels & Demons' and 'The Da Vinci Code'.
Great literature it ain't, but good holiday reading. -

Registered 20 years agoOn paperback, yes, I will get a copy.
I also have been known to eat fast food, listen to commercial radio, watch Adam Sandler movies and quite like The Price is Right. -

Registered 14 years agoThe flood gates have been opened. From what I've gathered, Dan Brown is the most hated author around these parts.
I didn't mind Angels & Demons. -

Registered 20 years agoOh come on people!! I noticed that one of the recommendations on my wife's copy of one of his paperbacks was from an Amazon review!
However I haven't read any, so shouldn't slag them off.

Registered 17 years agoI'll probably pick it up. I quite enjoyed Angels and Demons and that other one about computer stuff, no idea what it's name was. The one that wasn't the Da Vinci Code or the shit one about aliens. -
Good holiday reads needn't be such badly written shite. There are plenty of good writers creating accessible and entertaining reads without the shoddy plotting, awful dialogue and shallow inept characterisation of Brown's work.
Claiming somehow that Dan Brown's fucking awful work is ok, because it's just a bit of light reading is akin to saying it's okay for McDonalds to make a burger out of shite, because it's just a snack.
You deserve more than that. -

Registered 17 years agoI'll get it. I enjoyed his last two. I couldn't give a shit what anyone else thinks about it to be honest. -
Isn't that fucking bullshit Solomon Key supposed to be out soon.
He's both technically inept and creatively bankrupt. I have zero, literally zero, idea how anyone can claim otherwise.
(nb not necessarily the same as saying it can't entertain, in the same way that Police Academy might make someone laugh) -

The irony, it is not lost on me.
PS - never actually posted anything serious on here, nor anywhere else on the intertubes. Aside from a couple of ten minute writing exercises here and there. -

The irony is strong in these posts. Yeah it started of as something completely different, obviously forgetting to change the first half of the sentence didn't help my point. But yeah, my point still stands.

But 'gain, I've never posted anything serious on here. So unless you're rifling through my drawers at home, you're just attempting to troll me.
PS if you were the one who stole that bag of skittles that were in there I'll fucking kill you -
