Registered 14 years agoGood review. I was expecting a slightly blander, less harsh version of Ed's review, but I was pleasantly surprised by the analytical nature of the piece.
The Dorkfail reaction is hilarious! They are really are the definition of delusional fanboys. -
Also, could MrTom point out at the DF forum (I aint signing up) that for someone against console gaming XAleX seems to have the post-tag 360 when he's posting ON THE EG FORUMS? Just for fun, like. -

Yet another state reviewer thats barely played the game. If you notice he's running around naked in his screenshots doing pretty much nothing but slashing a 2h sword at mobs. nice
I like the fact he ignored the text in the review stating that if you use decent equipment you'll lose it as soon as you die. Or the image caption that said that Keiron was trying to find his corpse. In fact, I like the whole forum thread over there. I'll give it 4/10 though as it has major problems. -

Registered 16 years agoWhat if he isn't Brutal Doug though? Some poor guy who thought they'd give it a try is going to have a really bad time. It's horrible that the community would act like that, I wouldn't touch it now. Plus if Brutal Doug logs in, it's safe to assume it's not Kieron

he just isnt obviously hardcore and needs a no brain game like call of duty which is ye good, but it obviously doesnt require skill much skill to get into and press a mouse button to fire a gun.
Now, is it just me or has this review and all the other Darkfallians stated that stats don't affect how you hit people? Exactly like, I dunno, how an FPS works? -
ahaa yah, as I understand it you press a mouse button to fire a spell in Darkfall. Oops. OH I FORGOT! It's backed up by stats, ergo it's somehow difficult and consequently better. -
The topic they have on the second review is hilarious.
These people are the nerds to nerds who are nerds to nerds who are nerds to normal people. And seeing them get in a kerfuffle about this review is friggin' hilarious.
I recommend to anyone to give their thread a read, it will lighten up your day and give you a good chuckle ^^
