I can understand why they are making these changes. The whole power pool thing is silly. I’ve taken almost identical power pools with every single toon. Everyone take fitness, most take speed (for hasten) + another travel power, and then one other, which tends to be either stealth or leadership.

Presence is virtually null and void as the only ones who would want it are tankers and scrappers, and they usually get a taunt anyway. The same is true of healing, in fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever actually seen anyone with the power pool healing powers. Fighting? I know some tankers take it and dark scrappers sometimes, but it’s basically pointless. I particularly love how in the power description for fighting they recommend it to Controllers!!!

I’m really quite disappointed they didn’t do new pools for CoV, although I appreciate the balancing implications would have been huge. Still, missed opportunity I think.

There should have been an "Evil" pool for CoV, like "Rob Children Of Candy", "Mug Old People For Their Pension" or "Support Chelsea".

I'm not sure what the last one does but it's really annoying. :-)

I'll probably finally get around to respecing out flight, I just use hurdle to go over most things and only use flight when I can't so I may as well go super jumping instead.

As I'm unable to get onto Defiant, great launch for CoV NCSoft, no really. I'm not too unhappy not to have a pre-order code. :-P

I found this had been posted to the EU forums, US->EU transfer is available, I know it's of interest to at least two players. And make sure you do it before adding a EU CoV code to your account!!

Also there's a workaround for non-working AA for Ati users, this thread provides some help. If only I could get on and try it!

Hmmm, not only have my US toons had their names taken off them, but it's gonna cost me a month's sub to reactivate them so I can play again, AND I'd have to re download the US version of CoH.

Think I probably won't bother after all this waiting

No I will. I have 4 toons that I was playing on the US servers with before The EU version came out, which I may now not bother brining over to the EU servers. But, I'll still be playing with my 6 or so toons on the EU servers, plus CoV too

Really, what's the fucking point of having 3 month long public betas if the the launch is as shonky as this.

Bloody good job i'm a long term fan, cos if i wasn't i'd be really pissed as opposed to midly pissed...

To be fair the character transfer did work, very quickly, but i got a bunch of errors when i did it, hence it looked like it wouldn't work.

The only problem is that i've lost my 2million plus influence

The worse problem is that as a blaster i've got most of my powers 6 slotted with damage enchancements now

Arse.

Anyway can someone invite buglossus to the eg sg pls?

Got AA working ok now with the settings from the US thread unfortunately stealth does a real number on ST's head as there's some really horrible interference pattern shimmering over his baldness. Hopefully Ati and Cryptic will get this sorted in the 5.11 drivers if not before.

i was a little annoyed that i can't even add the COV to my account because i didn't pay ten quid more to get it somewhere two days earlier, but it came from play yesterday... Won't let me on. Bah.

There's an announcement on the EU forum that the servers are down for maintenance from 14:00 for two hours.

Not a good choice of times but I suppose they've got no choice, the cockup continues...

All working now and the new PvP zones are rather fun, fighting in Sirens Call gets a lagathon at times but it's pretty good fun.

Warburg is just ace though, just as well PvP incurs no debts...

Must give the low level one a try later.

My friend was over the other day, and I showed him http://www.exploitsrus.com/coh.html It is a site with cheats, bugs, dupes, etc for city of heroes. He told me it was against the rules for coh to do this. Is this true? I am used to cheating on video games for my whole life, so I was sort of shocked to hear this.

Of course it's against the rules.

It's a multiplayer game and only works because everyone has the same set of rules, without that it would be utterly pointless.

Anyone still playing this, or are you all firmly villanous these days? Was thinking about renewing my sub, but might not bother if there's no-one about. Don't know why, but I just didn't like COV as much. Maybe I'm (gasp) a good guy at heart!

Man, reading back to some of the old days when me, whizz and tobz were on this every night makes me want to cry with nostalgia. I really think that was the most fun gaming I've ever had, I was completely obsessed by it.

AFAIK really not much going on right now sticky, but come the Marvel version on the 360, I may well don my cape once more.

Why've they done that then?

I rolled a blaster recently (usually tank), but I'm not really enjoying it to be honest. Think my play style suits just wading in a bit more!
